JB60
Ok, heres a question for all you more knowledgeable peeps out there... I have been keeping bonsai mums for a while now in small pots with dirt. (Great method by the way) I am now thinking of keeping a larger mum. I know I could just upscale what I'm doing now in dirt, but, can it be done successfully in say a wilma with clay? What would be the drawbacks to this method??? Thanks in advance ATB JB Link to comment
JB60
Do I assume the only viable way is Dirt/Coco then?? Come on 420?? ATB JB Link to comment
Owderb
You can keep a mother in a wilma if you like mate but the drawback I see especially with pebbles is if you have to root prune. All depends on how long you intend on keeping a mother and how many cuts you need and how often because growth will be a lot quicker than in dirt Owd Link to comment

JB60
You can never have too many, plus I'm thinking that the cuts will be a bit more "substantial" than the bonsai ones. ATB JB Link to comment
