What's the point in criticising it if you were not there or can't be arsed with these things (like what's going on outside your rooms)? Yes its a made up sacred date, but so what? If we can't make our own path then we are truly stereotypical stoners.

Because imo activists :wanker: and shite like 420 day give's tokers a bad name and lead's to the stoner stereotypes so that's why i commented because it does my tits in :ranting:

Bill, without any hidden meaning or agenda behind this question, what is bad image about hundreds or thousands of people getting together for a toke with absolutely no violence or other crimes?

Surely such public displays dispel many of the stereotypes like weed itself being a cause of crime.

Personally I thought the reporting of the events painted things in a pretty good light, predictable wailing from the usual prohibitionist suspects notwithstanding.

maybe if i was 20 again then i'd probably have went but im not, im double that now :wassnnme: & im wary of attending things like this as my job

involves getting the odd med screen or 2, so that makes me a stoner who's also a slave so i can provide for my family, dont get me wrong, i'd love it to

legalized in the UK but i doubt i'll see it in my life time, too many big corporations have their eyes on the future profits to be made from the medical angle.

What is the point in coming to the 'Cannabis Activism' section and making wishy washy comments like that? It doesn't matter what age you are; I have seen people in their 60's in wheelchairs travelling hundreds of miles to make a stand - if we got the understanding right it would bite - sadly many people have got it wrong and think 'it' could be legalised - its nothing to do with it - this is about you and you don't care about the fact that you are a slave - its just an excuse for apathy saying your jobs on the line, even if it was it would be more reason to fight for reason and your freedom of expression.

sorry SB, i hadnt initially realized it was the activism section when i posted but thats beside the point.

i didnt mean to sound so dismissive towards the case for legalization & the fine work you & others do/have done for the cause.

The Global Marijuana March (GMM) is an annual rally held at different locations across the planet. It refers to cannabis-related events that occur on the first Saturday in May, or thereabouts, and may include marches, meetings, rallies, raves, concerts, festivals and information tables.

The Global Marijuana March also goes by the name of the Million Marijuana March (MMM). It began in 1999. Around 700 different cities worldwide have signed up since 1999. There are local names for the event too. Such as: World Cannabis Day, Cannabis Liberation Day, Global Space Odyssey, Ganja Day, J Day, Million Blunts March, etc..

The Global Marijuana March is a celebration embracing cannabis culture as a personal lifestyle choice. Participants unite to discuss, promote, entertain and educate both consumers and non-consumers alike.

The six main demands: stop all cannabis arrests; stop the lies; release the medicine; heal the sick; end the prison state; Cures Not Wars.

This is the route we have planned this year, if the weather is not good we will not carry on the march from the Welsh Assembly to Hamadryad Park. Weather depending

Plan A.

Route from Cathays park to Welsh Assembly

Right Boulevard De Nantes

Left down North Road

Kingsway

Left down Working Street

Right down Lloyd George Avenue

Left onto Bute Place

Left onto Pierhead Street.

Route from National Assembly

Left down Pierhead

Right down Bute Place

James Street

Clarence Road

Left Down Hunters

Burt Street

Into Hamadyad Park

Plan B

As above without marching to Hamadryad Park
