Weed from Dampkring

Recommended Posts

If your on for a little stroll and shops that have a bit more of a local feel and good stock, hit Paradox than 1e Hulp and on up to Katsu. Bluebird has always had great ganj over the years :yinyang: :yinyang: Enjot I love it out there but its heavy on the pocket nowadays!!

Yeah, I know about the heavy on the pocket - that's why I'm there for only 4 days - and not 4 whole ones either!

The weed might be good in the Dampkring, but it's the only coffee shop I've seen that has security on the door.

So it's not my cup of tea.

(Tweede Kamer is great though)

I've never seen any security at Dampkring

Was this at the Hoogstraat branch or the one on Haarlemmerstraat?

Ive never seen security in the 20-25 times ive been.

The one on Haarlemmerstraat does have a dude on the door and there has been one there every single time Ive been

They dont allow you to wear any head gear and he sits on a stool right near the front door to make sure its adhered to

If you havent seen him you must be blind or just too out of your face :stoned:

dampkring is a must if your going to the dam, as mentioned the weed is consistently good and the hash menu is great too. dampkring has had security on the door for a few years now but they dont bother you unless your wearing a hat, even then thier still friendly, its not like night club security. my only gripe with dampkring is it gets really busy at night and you cant take your time and chat to the budtenders about the weed when its busy., tweed kamer is the dampkrings sister shop and its usually a bit less busy (still has the same menu as dampkring)

other coffee shops worth checking out are popeyes, stix, rookies, old amsterdam, katsu, kashmire lounge.

ones i would avoid, or at least avoid buying thier weed are bulldog, grass hopper, hill street blues, central, smokeys.

and of course theres the green house, greenhouse seeds get a load of stick on here but thier coffee shops are pretty descent if you dont mind lining arjans pockets

Aye, that's it. I went in February and it was absolutely freezing, so was wearing a fleece hat. The second I entered the guy was off his chair to get me to take it off. I literally didn't have time to blink.

He was polite enough, but it gave the impression that there are rules here and if you step out of line, you're out. A bit like city centre pubs in the UK on a Saturday night.

Maybe I'm just sensitive, or just getting too old and not used to being treated like that any more, but no thanks.

Will be checking out Katsu cos my hotel is round there. Was gonna use it to chill, but what's their weed 'n hash like?

Will go to Dampkring as been to the Dam 3 times and never tried it. Security on the door doesn't sound great, being a female  but I reckon it'll be ok if I just buy and leave.

Been to Greenhouse before and thought their weed was quite good (better than Abraxas. I'll avoid Bulldog like the plague! I just hate the commercialised, corporate look of that place.

Cheers all for the really great tips :yep: Only 6 days to go!

katsu is a great coffee shop, the only reason it doesnt have the same rep as the dampkring is because its a bit out of the way and not too many tourists make an effort to visit katsu, because of this its more of a locals coffee shop, but your still made to feel very welcome. its not known so much for hash but they always have the best weed, the top of thier menu usually has some top notch cali clone only strains. ive had the pleasure of trying a few clone only strains in katsu, including the super tasty ecsd. katsu is extremely under rated but i get the impression they like to be a bit off the radar.

Cheers mate. Sounds like my kinda place. Not so bothered with hash as vaping. And if they've got a vaporizer or 2, I may never make it to the centre! lol

Prix d'ami has security and a knife arch, the one at dampkring is there to enforce the no hat and check id's on the younger looking patrons to stop the bud tender getting the hassle and slowing the serving down, last time I went I was with two 18yr olds and it really does slower the serving down if the bud tender has to check id's dampkring was pretty speedy service

spot-on on Katsu: local, older clientele feeling as well. was staying in the Pijp a week last summer, and ended up visiting every day for a bit of black widow... and sumthing new...

the BW was the highlight of trip ime. :smokin:

e2a: ot- was in Tweede Kaamer before, dont remember much now, but was perfectly happy with weed menu, if pricey...
