Administrator Posted August 16, 2010 Share Posted August 16, 2010 Just lately we have noticed that some members are choosing to place banner type images in their signatures, many of which are also hosted off site. This is a polite request not to do so. The reason for this is that we feel they clutter up the page and cause unnecessary distraction while trying to read a thread, especially in a thread where the signature owner is fairly active, it means viewing the same image several times per page of posts, off site hosted image sigs also pose a minor security problem for everybody unfortunate enough to have to view it. It has also come to our attention that some members are loading avatars of a sexual or pornographic nature, again this is a polite request to remove them as posting such pics here is technically against the rules! We try to create an environment which is welcoming to all comers, and not everybody wants to see such pictures while reading a grow site, if you want to look at and post photos of a sexual nature then there are a billion or more web pages out there to satisfy your needs, but they are not welcome here. If you are the owner of such an avatar or signature image then please remove them asap, Moderators will also remove them as they find them, anybody found to be replacing them after there removal with identical or similar type photos will receive warnings/suspensions or bans 10 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
