my sparkie pal says he could make one from a soldering iron

thats just for starters jiffa.

but yes it could be done as long as you get enough heat

so a sodering iron with a flat plate would do , i think

go for it. there must be specialist soldering iron companys out there

wee-winky \o/

I think you would need to base it on the copper element style of the mflb as opposed to a soldering iron style that would be too bulky and would take too long to warm up/cool down, so a current controlled copper element is what i reckon you`d need lol

No pics dude, no. I took the glass lava bit out of the base; then made a foil dish that sat on top of the bulb. Crumbled up some weed, put it on the foil, turned it on and put the glass jar over the top. Gradually it worked, a bit. This is about 1997 after i'd come back from a trip and experienced a proper one for the first time.

It sort of worked.

Glad to be back home. Cheers dude.

If you want extreme ghetto cheap as chips vape....then this would probably work. however is a use in situ non mobile variety....

1 x piece of pie foil

1 x electric cooker [smallest hob lowest setting]

1 x glass jam jar

1 x maccyDs straw

Instructions for use....o fuck it i'm sure you can work it out!

Obviously this would be far from ideal and nothing like approaching the quality smoke of a real vape but as far as cheap an nasty goes .....well not bad.

Just 4 shitzangiggles dodgee

I dunno mate, i just thought after using my mflb that would be the wat to go, you need Davey Jones to answer that if it`s possible he should know, it seems logical lol

#

Wrap three layers of duct tape (smoothly) around both pipes, leaving the wider end of the 2" to 1 1/2" reducer bare. Wrap leather tennis grip around ducted taped areas. The duct tape makes a great heat wrap, and it will get hot.

Connect 2" Pipe coupling to 2" to 1 1/2" reducer.

* The idea is to allow this combination to rest on the tip of the heat gun with an additional two inches of space for heat reduction. If using a heat gun that is only adjustable to 450F (ACE hardware Digital Heat Gun, $35.99) this space is necessary to prevent unwanted burning.

#

Step 2

Wrap open end of the bag around the end of the open/close valve and clamp off with either duct tape or a screw adjustable hose clamp (suggested).

If getting the bag evenly tightened around the valve is killing you, try tying two ends of the opening in knots with a small opening for the valve. Clamp down and cut off the excess plastic. Tape with duct tape if desired for a better seal.

*You want to be able to change out the bag easily, as it will eventually get dirty on the inside. Keep this in mind when attaching.

#

Step 3

Connect male quick disconnect end to bag assembly.

*Any pieces containing soft rubber are not advised. The airway will be heated to 450F and may release toxins from rubbers.

#

Step 4

Cut out two circles of wire mesh slightly larger than the narrow end of the pipe assembly. This will be where you place your desired herb. Form both into a shallow bowl and stack on top of each other with your herb in the middle.

Ensure both screens stay pressed against each other to prevent the contents from blowing around or breaking up into the bag during heating. Slide the mesh bowl 1/2" into the narrow end of the pipe assembly.

The placement of the screen is essential. Through trial and error you will get placement down to a science. Remember, close enough to turn the leaves a dark brown, not black. If it burns, it's too close.

*Tea strainers offer the best screens for the job. Using a little imagination and the right kind of screen strainer you can make a bowl that will last you months.

#

Step 5

Attach female quick disconnect to the narrow end of the pipe assembly. Attach bag assembly to the pipe assembly with the valve opened.

Heat the gun to 350F-450F. Wait about 10-20 seconds for the gun to heat up properly and sit the pipe assembly over the tip. Once bag is full and the vapor inside starts turning white, close the valve and remove the heating assembly.

#

Step 6

Before you sit down and enjoy the fruits (or flowers) of your labors, take a second and click on an ad! It takes no time, and I would be grateful! I will be posting plans for a proper box housing complete with a hide able temperature panel and storage for parts. More clicks will get these plans up faster!

#

Step 7

Disconnect the bag assembly, turn off and unplug the heat gun. Heat guns, like any other electric heating device, are a potential fire hazard. Remember to secure any hazards before enjoying your treat. Safety first, then play.

#

Step 8

Sit back and enjoy a clean, healthier way to enjoy your favorite treat!
