Art Terrorism, Media Manipulation, Culture Jamming call it what you will but Drummond and Cauty know how to push boundaries. During their recording career as The JAMS & The KLF they were responsible for a series of graffiti attacks on prominently positioned billboard hoarding. Often subverting the original advertisers message gave extra impact however it was not without risk and during one such attack in the shadow of Battersea power station they were apprehended and arrested.

After quitting their successful music careers Bill and jimmy declared themselves trustees of the K Foundation. Taking full page adverts in both the Music Press and some broadsheets they embarked on a series of bizarre events that would cause derision and acclaim from the art world and the wider populous.

In 1993 the K Foundation subverted the Turner Prize Awards by simultaneously awarding the winner, Rachael Whitread, their own prize of £40,000 [twice that of the Turner prize] for the worst body of work. The money was nailed to a wooden frame and secured to the railings outside the Tate. Begrudgingly Whitread accepted the award after the K foundation threatened to burn it if she did not. This would be just a taste of events to come. The K Foundation briefly intended an installation called Money - A Major Body Of Cash which entailed sums of money ranging from £10 to £1,000,000 being nailed to old skip pine. They wanted to offer the £1,000,000 piece Nailed To The Wall to the Tate as the "1995 K Foundation Bequest to the Nation" but this was later rejected on the basis that they couldn't blackmail the Tate as they had Rachael Whitread. Various other ideas were thrown in but none were satisfactory and in the end the trustees of the K Foundation were quoted as saying "Fuck it, let's just burn the million quid anyway."

On the 22nd of August 1994 Bill and Jimmy rented a light aircraft and in the company of journalist Jim Reid and Gimpo they took two suitcases to the Scottish Isle of Jura and in the early hours of the 23rd they burnt £1,000,000 in the fireplace of an abandoned boathouse. . . The reaction to the burning, Jim Reid's report and Gimpo's film ranged from blatant scepticism to outright anger. For once their media reputations as scam mongers and pranksters resulted in a general dumbing down of the story. On the first anniversary of the burning Cauty and Drummond returned to Jura to premiere the film Watch the K Foundation Burn a Million Quid in the village hall. The discussions that followed the screening were, to say the least, lively and this led to plans for similar screenings around the UK and Europe. The details of what happened next are best laid out in Gimpo and Chris Brooks book K Foundation Burn A Million Quid (ISBN 1-899858-37-7) but briefly on 5 November 1995 Bill and Jimmy hired a car and drove to Cape Wrath, Scotland. There they painted a contract onto the car agreeing to end the K Foundation for a period of 23 years. The car was then pushed over the cliff to it's final resting place, some 600 ft. below. Sole use of the film of the money burning was given to Gimpo and the ashes were made into a brick [this being the physical embodiment of the K Foundation.]

In 1997 following the 2K Barbican gig Drummond and Cauty created K2 Plant Hire Ltd. A series of full page adverts inviting readers to vote by tele-poll on whether they should Fuck The Millennium. The pole resulted in a majority yes vote and they subsequently announced that The Peoples Pyramid would be built somewhere in the north of England using a brick for every man, woman and child born in the UK between 1900 - 2000, The pyramid would be completed by 30 October 2002. People were encouraged to participate in this project by collecting and donating bricks. It is intended that this site be a communication point for those people who would like to contribute to this project.
