Timer/Inductive load

Hi folks

Knowing about the inductive load limitation of cheap household timers I went to a grow shop and got a basic rotary one rated 13 (8) A, i.e. 8 Amps inductive load, which should be ample for my 600W HPS system.

It lasted two days.  :curse:  What a piece of shit.  I'm not even sure that the contacts gone, I reckon it's just the timer is way too inaccurate.

So my advice is don't bother with anything that hasn't got a seperate relay/contactor set up and if you are even vaguely competent with electrics make your own as per >The DOCs excellent instructions<

I had now idea why so just went to my old friends at growell and they sorted it....

But wise cautionary words...
