Mr.NiceGuy420
Hello All, I have a 175 watt MEtal Halide from Advance Transformers. Its an F can type ballast, everythingneeded is enclosed in one housing with one set of wires to deal with. I wired it myself and it worked fine for about a year. Now it turns off shortly after being turned on. I have cheked the wiring multiple times and everything seems to be correct. I have grounded the ballast case and reflector and wired it for 120v current. Could this be a problem with the lamp? Any suggestions at all would be helpful at this point. Delta Bravo
Very possibly m8. I had a 400w MH bulb work fine for the first 12 months or so, then it would cut out after a certain length of time. Think it was about 2 or 3 hours. I could fire the bulb up again once it had gone off, but it would just do the same. Only way to find out is to try a brand new bulb m8.
