thecrystalcatcher Posted March 27, 2009 Share Posted March 27, 2009 (edited) hi heyboy, i use coco and hand water and i mix a weeks worth at a time in my 100ltr res, then once fresh refill is left for 24hrs to remove chlorine and shit i add my nutes then ph the mix, i keep my res temp at 75 degrees too and an air curtain running 24/7 so the answer to your q is yes you only need a ph metre and depends on the size of your water res as to how often u refill, i never leave longer than a week anyway. then you just read your plants and up dosage as required. good luck tcc Edited March 27, 2009 by Owderb Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've got to admit, I have fed sometimes without checking the EC through most of a grow. I do check the pH though, as mine can be difficult to get right. Guest peace&quiet Posted March 28, 2009 Share Posted March 28, 2009 Cheers guys...Ive decided to go for it,got some more research to do but yeah a change in my growing skills is good, Watering plants in a tent with compos is all well in good but dragging them out every few days is arse ache, Love the idea of watering from the top in coco till roots are at the bottom,then feeding from the bottom via pot saucers..my thinking here is ill be able just to lean in and top the saucers up on a daily basis without having to move them. Also from cradle to coffin seems to work from what Ive read meening i can miss out the middle pot up...Ill get my arse in gear at the end of this grow and give it a bash, Thanks folks.. :wink: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I used ionic grow/bloom and boost before the hard water range,remember the bottles recomondatios where way to much for young plants ps heyboy the coulor coded ph kits are cheap as chips mate,far cheaper than a pen,Ive used them before when my pens batteries where low or when my pen was buggered,get it to a piss coulor if i remember correctly and youll be within the range required.
