Administrator Posted December 12, 2008 Share Posted December 12, 2008 Recently we have had to have words with a couple of newish members from here for attempting to offer other members free seeds in return for a documented test grow in the grow diary section. We have also had members attempting to set up seed exchanges , and we have also had a couple of incidences where members have tried to set up their own covert seed store here. While we understand that the offer of free or cheap seeds is very tempting , we are asking that you STOP and THINK about the security implications of giving your personal details, safe addy or otherwise to unknown individuals in return for what could be no better than budgie seed, they could be anybody at all and their reasons for wanting to obtain growers addresses may not be just to "spread the love" ! Do not compromise your personal security or the security of your loved ones for the sake of a few free seeds. Whilst on the subject of test grows, we have also noticed that some "breeders" are attempting to use UK420 as a free advertising vehicle for their wares without ever contributing anything back to the site. In some cases test grows are being done here and then referred back to from the breeders own sites or sites that they pay to advertise on where the seeds are available for sale. For the above reasons, any diaries or threads which are billed as "test grows for ........" or similar and which haven't been approved by the Admin Team will be deemed as spam and removed without further notice. and anybody found attempting to use this site and abuse our hospitality by attemting to trade seeds or anything else for that matter will be banned. If you are a breeder who genuinely wants to organise a test grow here or offer our members support on your seeds then you should contact either one of the Mods or Admin in the first instance with regards to taking up a support forum or a banner advert or both , or if you are a member who has been given seeds to document a test grow here you should ask whoever gave them to you to get in touch with either mods or admin first.
