blacKdeath Posted July 27, 2003 Share Posted July 27, 2003 Hey, well it's nothing new or particularly magical but it's cool. Now around the house we all have salt shakers...don't we? Well I've found that filling one of these with water (and whatever else you want) makes a great watering system. Simply shake the salt shaker over the soil with the water in and the water comes out in a perfectly 'rain-like' way, not sure what difference it could make but it's synthesised rain so it's o'natural. The only reason I started doing it was messing about, I honestly don't think it makes ANY difference it's just a novelty way of doing things. blackout Posted July 29, 2003 Share Posted July 29, 2003 drip feed from a water bottle or large reservoir into a smaller bottle with a syphon tube going in the side. the tube touches the bottom of the bottle and goes out and leads further down into your pot. this way the small bottle fills and gives your plant a good dose every few days. it is better to give lots of water and let it go dry rather than drip feed constantly, at least its what i have read and experienced Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
