strider
Ya know, whats this with the lights thing??? In the wild these plants dont have anything other than the lights provided by nature.... A sunny day is ~10,000 lumens per square foot. A 400w HPS covering the optimum 3'x2' is ~8,000 lumens per square foot. You wouldn't survive in that cupboard without ventilation and neither will your plants. no special lights and IM impressed with the result, average height is 4ft all healthy You're growing stem. Distance between internodes on your plants is, I'd guess 4" to 6", maybe more. Mine are 1/2". Others do better, but if you want to make hemp clothes, that's up to you. I prefer bud. So IM just wondering why people go out and spend £100's on equipment Because it works. Edited July 3, 2003 by strider
a_larg_fat_one
Just curious as IM using lights but not the 200 ~ 600watt jobs, but I have given them the best attention and theyre all starting to bud, small granted but an experiment like I said in the beginning as this is a test grow to see if what comes out. The other reason I ask is because its a very hardy plant, homegrow your trying to maximize, in the wild only the strongest survives, and it grows in a diverse range environments, some places that get as cold as the UK but still it thrives in those climates. strider
Nowt wrong with experiments, except their purpose is to proove something yes/no or give more data. Well you've prooved you can grow them, how about getiing a small hps asap? As they're female, first harvest will save you more in trips to the dealer than it costs.
