frank0420
Just saw an interesting read on the Medical xpress website- stating "Study finds cannabis users had worse bypass outcomes, increased amputation and opioid use* https://medicalxpress.com/news/2022-11-cannabis-users-worse-bypass-outcomes.amp What's your thoughts on this? flip flap
Not sure about opioid use but wouldn't amputation and bypass outcomes be down to smoking weed with tobacco?
mrrichiet
They don't say if that was factored in so it's a possibility. Personally I'd be inclined to go with the vasodilating properties of cannabis to be the reason.
mister phlegm
The study itself is seemingly behind a paywall and the abstract is pretty uninformative so there's not much to think about. We don't know the data timeframe, conditions for inclusion/exclusion etc. Is this Michigan-only data? Would it generalise well, either medically or demographically? Does the study have any implications for people who don't have leg bypasses?
