Does Utopia exist or can it be created ?

Imagine a small village in UK where almost all residents were tokers…where there was no risk of being reported. Even if you were reported police look another way…..Is it possible that there is such a place in UK and we don’t know about it ? Is there any place in the UK that comes close ?

If there is none maybe it’s possible to create one….would take 50 members or more of UK420 to built one..we have over 95,000 members….this super silver haze is crazy…. It is coming up with all these utopian dreams….. not my fault….I am stoned mates…lol

Ive heard its a bit like this is some places, Durham I think the police are open about turning a blind eye in favour of more serious crimes, I dont see why it is not like this everywhere now honestly, worlds spins so slowly sometimes.

@whoknows Your dream, and thoughts are actually not that far fetched to some degree :yep:

There's no doubt, that one would imagine that there are lots of pockets, of communities dotted here, and there,

in many Countries, where toking is illegal, but a blind eye exists within reason of course. Regards some small towns, and villages,

the law basically know mostly who's smoke'n, and in fact some of the growers, but turn the blind eye, as its simply too vast the

amount of law abiding people using/growing, even more so since this covid shit, and would be completely stupid for them to go there,

especially with the lack of resources in more recent times, and i would think there's enough of other shite happening out there, that

they need to keep on top of, cause for the most part, the vast majority of users, are peaceful, not taking the piss, and standing in front

of the law, and smoking in there face, and the biggy here, not big produces, and sellers.

Like many other things in life, it would be absolutely pointless for the Law to stir this pot, the people they come across smoke'n/growing,

or that they have suspicion of, or even actually know of, i mean where would they go with it, if really pursued, lock all of us up, i don't think so.

Like oldleafybeard1 said above, and i remember reading this article at the time, regards Durham.  Ron Hogg's crime commissioner, (not sure if he still is)

publicly stated that he is in favor of  decriminalisation of drugs, and to cut policing cost, and keep users out of the criminal system, that his focus, and

his resources are on gangs, and organised crime, and that his officers would enforce the law if there was complaints, which is totally understandable,

and that his focus is on large scale producers, and just doesn't want dealers on the streets, which is fair enough also.

All these little moves are combining, and taking us in the right direction for sure. So that's it "op", it does kinda exist, some places better than others,

and we're not as far away as some may think from been all legal, my 10 cents worth anyways, but ya, keep dream'n for sure mate, i think they call it

manifestation, if ya think it, it WILL happen

I think we all have that pipe-dream from time to time.  How nice the world could be if people were sensible and kind.

Sadly, they are not.  We as a race have a long way to go.

20 years ago, the Police would nail me for the tiniest spot of hash, drag me home, tear my pad apart, find nothing, turn off the fuse box so all my tropical fish die and then keep me in a cell for the remainder of the weekend.

Today its more like "Would you mind not smoking that in my presence?".

I think people in this decade have it pretty f*cking sweet, although there is still room for improvement! ;)

Unfortunately although they would all be tokers this doesn't guarantee they won't also be a bunch of dick heads!!

In one of this year’s Soft Secrets newspapers issue 1 2022

I pick this newspaper up at my local grow shop, and thought it might give some more inspiration, and kinda ties into the original op's post :yep:

Germany moves to legalise Cannabis, and that it would allow “The controlled sale of cannabis to adults for recreational purposes in licensed shops” and promote a broader drug policy

To note, it is not illegal to consume cannabis, under German law, purchasing the drug is outlawed, and they plan to open up the market for growers, and dealers.

Germany would then be the largest nation in the World to legalise cannabis after, Uruguay, Canada, Malta, and 18 states in the US.

The German, and Maltese decisions are likely to be followed by other members of the Union. A referendum in Italy obtained the necessary number of signatures, while Switzerland, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands are discussing the introduction of new drug regulations that move toward legalization.

Also celebrities are beginning to make more of a move endorsing cannabis use, and starting to launch their own brands. With artists like, Drake, Snoop Dogg, and Jay-Z now been followed by none other than Justin Bieber. Justin has announced that he will partner with LA-based cannabis company Palms to launch a range of pre-rolled joints called “Peaches”. Palms specialise in pre-rolled cannabis products, with its standard seven-joint packs retailing for $32 at pharmacies in Nevada, and California.

Now in fairness not everyone will have a good opinion with the celeb side of things in this regards, and using clever marketing tools, but personally I’ll give Bieber a bit of credit here, as he, has had health struggles, he’s into legalisation (which has to be a good thing over all) and he’s into the mental health side of things, but also the social injustices of existing cannabis convictions, also a good thing.

So ya, my personal opinion is things are defo moving in the right direction, and with what Malta has done, and the Germans in process, along with several other EU Countries, it’s all gonna happen fairly quick, and at the very least in the meantime, I would think more, and more leniency moving forward for the rest of us, until the magic happens for us

they only problem i could foresee would be all of the people lol

living on a couple of islands has shown me this already :smokin:

just do your thing and feck everyone else off.

there’s an old boy here who i see early every morning putting out pots in the sea, doesn’t talk to anyone and always got his head down minding his own, why? because he doesn’t want to draw attention to himself or what he’s doing because everyone else will start doing it and it won’t be his special place/thing/life anymore..

just do your thing and don’t brag or show off, same as growing weed:yep:

A couple of months after watching the documentary about Durham I saw a bust in the news where a grower actually got time if I recall correctly for quite a small grow.

Don't all go moving to Durham in a hurry is all I'm saying.

Maybe there is one of our UK420 fellow toker…who lives in just this kind of a utopian village. This hypothetical friend of ours is considering right now, if he should share the address of Utopian Village but the fear they have is that utopia discovered by all will no longer remain utopia….not knowing about utopia we can’t benefit from it and knowing about it in this forum will destroy it for all….catch 22….lol

I think the problem with the idea of utopia is that utopia can really only exist if everyone living there agrees on what the perfect society is, and that's just never going to happen :nea:
