Help by taking pics. Please

nice thread, verry interesting. 

I m total new in it, but i got the chance to make professionell strain portraits for a printed cannabis magazin and want to ask for any tips.

Want to photograph the whole plant in different stages with deep black background.

 

My pics i take look like shit, now.

 

 

Please help me, if you can.

I will add a pic from my Canon EOS 650D, and hope to get some tips for getting better. Know that photographie is like art. Won t get the best, but some practise and tips will help me a lot.  

 

Maybe someone has time and will help. 

 

My hardware is the camera and a blackout blind.

 

This is one of my BlueGelato41, was shot in the tent.
