They did say no vids. Unless you're talking photos like we had back in the day, in which case the 80's called, they want their 2 dimensional stills back.. lol

There are plenty of free viruses for you to try out there, play some games of 'torrent roulette' and see what you get? lol

Then you can spend a few hours trying to fix your pc, or phoning scammers, which is always fun.

No mention of platform....so I presume Windows. Sorry if I repeat anyone.

3D modelling/film editing/animation....and more, actually. Damn good software

https://www.blender.org/features/

Nice paint/image manipulation software... I still use GIMP, but this is probably nicer...

https://krita.org/en/

VSCodium (The 'open source' version of VSCode, without the 'telemetry'). Text editor/semi 'IDE' (integrated development environment. ISH)

https://vscodium.com/

As much as it's taken over the world in that area, which ain't great, it's...undeniably nice software. Good if you're getting into playing with code, too, as it does a lot of hand holding. There's loads of add-ons and stuff.

Package manager. When I piss about on windows (rare), I...make it more like I'm used to and install this. It works.

Relatively easy in on 'Virtualization'. Installing operating systems inside of other operating systems. Good for beginning to understand various methods of compartmentalisation in computing, which is...a big thing, out there 'vague wave' (*nix has this functionality built in, along with other more advanced methods, but it's not a server thread so I'll stfu)

if Linux is a mystery, and full virt can fuck off, a semi-convincing impression of it in windows (there's a few choice's of distro, search).... It's not as... see it as a gateway drug before you get on the harder stuff ;)....come, do you hear their voices, sail towards the rocks... lol In that world, there's LOADS of 'free'.

I'll stop there. I can get proper boring, I'm aware. :geek:
