Chromium Software Vulnerabilities -

- Not sure where to post this but, following recent events that happened to me I wanted to share the information..

 

 

I was recently hacked and all passwords, emails, accounts etc were compromised and were taking control by a unknown person.

all my files, pictures, documents, applications etc were deleted as well..

 

this was caused due to a vulnerability on devices using chromium software (Which most PC's, Iphones, laptops etc use for web engines) basically allowing them to remote execute code and install a root shell which thus allowed them to gain remote access to my PC which allowed them to changed passwords, email addresses etc access files on my computer without me knowing. I have AVG, Malwarebytes, Rkill removal etc and It wasn't flagged. 

 

If you haven't already updated your chromium based apps, devices, browsers etc I recommend you do.. (chrome://settings/help)
