Is the PM finally convinced?

The Prime Minister was today asked in questions to comment on the prosecution in Scotland of a medicinal user who grew her own cannabis to alleviate MS symptoms.

He stated that he understood that individuals may take that route but that he must wait until the results of the research going on into the subject. In the meantime he made it clear that any prosecutions would not be a matter for the government but for the authorities. He paused and added that he sincerely hoped that cases such as these would be dealt with in a sympathetic manner and that full consideration of the circumstances should take place before any action was taken.

In a season of political change towards dope yet another indication of the line of developments.

Eddie

Sweet, I wonder who'll be the first forced to use the PM's quote before a jury, in defence of their medical use claim.

Thanks for that post Eddie

Now this is encouraging stuff - thankyou very much Eddie for bringing it to our attention. I cannot tell you how much those of us who grow our own meds are looking forward to the days when we don't feel obliged to skulk around like so many paranoid bank-robbers on the run!

Oh no! I've just realised - this means I agree with Blair!!!

AAAArrrggghhhhh!

:o
