A stoned driver made the world's worst attempt at taunting police - by saying he'd just got back from Amsterdam so they "couldn't do anything about it".

Officers from Merseyside Roads Policing Unit took to Twitter on Monday night to let their followers know what happened when they pulled over one particularly brazen driver.

The male was stopped in Speke and proceeded to tell the officers how much cannabis he had smoked over the last 48 hours in Amsterdam.

Adding to the conversation, the cheeky driver also told police there was nothing they could do about it.

Their post on Twitter explains just exactly what they could do about it.

In a tweet that now has dozens of comments and hundreds of likes, one officer said: "Driver of car stopped in Speke took great pleasure in telling us he’d smoked as much cannabis as possible over last 48 hrs in Amsterdam & we couldn’t do anything about it!

"Well except drug wipe him & arrest him for drug driving! # arrested  # justthink"

what a fucking plank

in this instance he should have been ''yes officer, no officer, three bags full officer'' and he probably could have driven home and enjoyed what was left of his high.

NEVER talk to the police under ANY circumstance.

They're not your friend, they dont want to be your friend, theyre not there to help you, they'll twist and turn anything you say to their advantage, the more you say the more you incriminate yourself even if you've done nothing wrong, all they want is an easy collar, they are the enemy.:wanker:

Avoid them at all cost.

Silly advise. A sure fire way to fuck yourself up.

Then feel free to blather away 'til you're blue in the face, give them all the ammunition they need against you.

Whether you want to admit it or not, they're the enemy and are to be avoided at all costs.

So a solicitor will tell you not to talk to the police if they stop you for a driving offence?

id get another solicitor if I were you.

If your bein charged with anythin yes he would.

And my solicitor has served me well over the years and he hates the cops as much as I do.

If you're growing or doing anything illegal then it's a good idea to be friendly and cooperate at least in the first encounter, they are far more likely to just let you get on your way.

If you have no grow on and a clean house, crack on, wind them up, stand up for and use your rights as much as possible.
