Chromecast

Hello all you techies, I wonder if you can help me, I`m trying to run chromecast from my Sony M2, I`ve managed to load kodi and local cast ect, but even when running iplayer on it`s own I have no sound, even though all controls show full volume, this is happening on all platforms. I have used it in the past and it worked fine. I`ve updated the CCast, and I was around my friends last night and he set up all of it and had a film playing through his set up and my phone working perfectly, wtf?

 

please tell me wtf is going wrong, the tv is Samsung, but like I said, was working a few months ago. (picture works fine)
