JimmyPage
..re referendums. Currently (some) people are complaining "the people have decided", regarding the Indy and EU referendums. So how long should it be until a new referendum is appropriate. Remember, the people decided for Thatcher in 1979 .. so no less than 5 years ? Guest StonerCol
The thing is, a 2nd referendum is only talked about if the answer was "No" the first time around, just like Irelands vote on the Lisbon Treaty and Scotlands independence referendum. There won't be another vote to join the EU I doubt because once we are out the EU A. won't take us back and B. it will be too much upheaval to go back in. In terms of the length of time before a 2nd referendum, it all depends upon the situation, both practical and political.
