Captain Bonglington Posted August 25, 2012 Share Posted August 25, 2012 Another thing that works is to loop a pellet band over the line in a larks head knot then put the band behind the clip,only done this on shortish range stuff back in my carping days though.... uk420hobbygrower Posted October 17, 2012 Author Share Posted October 17, 2012 well I ended up buying the mini spomb and a shock leader to use with my 3lb test curve rod,used it last wknd for the first time didnt catch apart from the smallest of carp, found the method quite easy apart from when a gran of maze got court in the opening button of it which stops it from opening. Will be getting the big spomb just to get the distance for fishing partical baits.
