Guest bc pete
hi all bc pete here. prior to returning to the uk in january, i had been a employee of the vancouver island cannabis buyers club. this was run by ted smith an activist who wrote the book hempology 101 and ran a course at the university of victoria. as long as you provided a letter from your doctor( to whom it may concern) that shows you have a medical condition you could join the club. prices and quality were top notch and the shop was running for the last six years ted being an avid activist like david malmo levine and marc emery, staged a demonstration outside the public library last fall and handed out 500 pot cookies to the public. for the most part everyone was very laid back. but of course it only took a couple of "rednecks" to ruin the awareness that ted was trying to express and the rcmp arrested him and confiscated the remaining cookies(62) . the case was later dropped against him after it was dicovered that 20 of the cookies disappeared from the evidence room at the cop shop!! cannabis is british columbias biggest cash crop and legislation is months away, not years. the government is growing cannabis two hundred feet underground in flim flon , manitoba for eventual prescription at the chemists. although the strain grown has a 5.5-7 thc content, it is a start. the health minister alan rock has stood up to our highly constipated zero tolerance neighbours south of the border. and this worries me as tony blair will do what president bush tells him, and that may slow down things over here in britain over the years in british columbia we used the tactics of jamming the courts with cases , to the point where cases were being dropped, or having to wait two years before pleading"not guilty" and appeals, and thats the way. jam the court system and promote awareness. cotton killed the hemp industry, and the true cannabist would never wear levi strauss jeans after theyput their oar in
