could it be the extra power of the batteries is making your launchbox run to hot and making the batteries expand ?

Not sure though, they don't get as hot in working use as they have been from sitting in the charger, or accidentally in the sun, I know, I know, E2A>>>or burning my wallet chain in my pocket, , or finishing my toke and putting it on table and forgetting about it for 10 mins with battery in, or having been accidentally left in for about 10 mins till I noticed a burning smell and am looking round the room for someone having a furtive toke, at a children's b'day party, before realising the smell coming from my jacket pocket, I nearly set light then, yeah, I guess I need to look after them a bit better too :wink:

that was going to be my guess. perhaps it's the heat of the launch box itself thats making them expand, especially if they're cheap.
