Thanks again chaps B)

got any tips  for us noobs

I've only had a DSLR for 6 months mate but i'll ave a quick bash

You need a tripod first n foremost.

You're gonna need to be able to move the subject to get max magnification...

I like to set my cam up in front of a table with the lens set to 1:1, stick a cut sample part way into a bottle or summit to secure

then just slide it around the table to focus..

Frame your shot usin the auto macro setting for quickness then once your happy

with whats focused in frame switch to M or AV and have a play about with the settings..

Can't really get too specific on the settings front dude there's too many variables involved.

I like to use clip on led book lights for macro work indoors, you can clip em onto yer tripod etc.

A few of these pics were backlit with my laptop monitor tho..

Use a remote trigger or the timer to take the pic to cut shake.

Crop and resize. :yinyang:

I tend to spend half a day takin pics once i've started, out of say 200+ pics i might keep 3 or 4.. :stoned:

Unbelievable pictures Hip, they're the kind of thing you could have blown up, printed and framed, hung on the wall and 99% of people would have no idea what it is. I'm training as a picture framer, btw, so givvus a shout if you need anything done :spliff:

great work closeup fella :yep:
