Brandy Bhang

daisy

Recommended Posts

Ive had it in mind for AGES to try and make like Queen Victoria. I have a soft spot for a drop of brandy now and then and so figure - heck, how about some brandy bhang (not the traditional Indian bhang with milk and water and spices) - then I can have a nice little tot of it on a 'bad' evening for a shot of pain relief... CAn imagine if its true that it worked wonders on Queenies monthlies..

So, here goes

One small bottle of Brandy. Check.

One small stash of weed. Check

RESULT

Instructions Ive seen so far seem to be

Put weed in brandy

Leave for a week or two

Warm up gently to help infusion and let cool

Do it again.

Leave it

etc etc

DRINK.!

anyone had any experience of this, or got any comments

Pass the Jack Daniels...

hi daisy, never tried that one. but it makes perfect sense as the alchohol would disolve the thc into the brandy. if you've got a spare glass i'd be more than willing to give it a go (for the sake of science of course) good luck and i hope you'll be very amused (queen vic) let us know how it goes :notworthy:

Leave it for 6 weeks, and don't heat it (or at least not until you want to consume it) :blushing:

Hi Daisy

What your effectively doing is making a tincture

This is what I do...

1, I'd grind the weed as fine as possible & then grind it some more

2, Pop it in your brandy, but TBH the higher the alcohol content the better, so something like polish spirit or extra-strong vodka would be better

3, Leave it for at least 6-8 weeks IN THE DARK, giving it a good shake once a day

4, Strain off the weed using a coffee filter

5, Pour your alcohol/weed mix into a wide dish, in the dark & evaporate at least 1/4 of the liquid off

6, Re-bottle the remaining liquid into an amber bottle, these are available at most chemist stores

7, Be bloody careful! A few drops may be enough to relax you, depending on the weed/alcohol mixture you've used

Hope this helps....

great tips - Im pretty keen to make a tincture. Dont want to waste the whole lot if I mess up the process though - was working on drinking the blimmin lot. I'm a pretty basic kinda gal, less process the better (maybe Im just lazy.?)

how do you evaporate the liquid ??

it was that post about the jamaican one along with a few other comments and ideas Ive come across over the years that inspired me ...

will report back in about 10 weeks..

Just leave it in a dark room for a few days, alcohol's nature is to evaporate. It can be heated, but please DON'T! It's too bloody dangerous!!!!

had a taste test yesterday to see how its doing.. :yinyang: didnt smell very strong - but when you tasted it the brandy had a softer edge andthere was a slight canna aftertaste - very nice. B)

Ill start letting it evaporate soon I reckon ..

Know what Im going to do with our home grow if we get anything. Something to see us through the winter - seems to be a great digestive tonic!!

although there has been request from sweetielambkin here that we splash out on courvoisier... (brandy snob he is!)

bit dear though innit...a good tasting brandy that i get for a tenner is E&J,not the very cheapest but a nice taste even on its own (...in fact i think i prefer it to the posher stuff)

Don't forget, the taste is only part of it...

The most important consideration is the higher the alcohol content... the better!

It has to be or you won't get half the benefit you should

ooer - havent seen that one before... Looks geet posh itself!

If I get some fresh home grown I'll splash out on two - one nice brandy like that, and then some ridicously strong mental thing to really get the cannabiniod babies flowin.

make one a nice medical tipple, and the other - well pure medicine.

first experiment is over - we polished off the lot in a few goes.

Cant say I felt any cannabis type responses but from what Ive read since I probably didnt use enough grass in it. But I have to say it did TASTE fantastic. I was pretty disappointed with the taste of cannabis in chocolate - mortified really, I love choccy and I love the smell of grass - but together - urggh! Anyway, the brandy came out with a soft vanillaery flavour but best of all was the aftertaste - just when you thinkg, huh, no cannabis in that - a gentle wavey waft of cannabis flavour trips over the tongue.

So, next time its gonna be properly done in full blown alcohol from the chemist - decent pile of it and everything.

Hey all

Can anybody recommend the actual alcohol brand/ percentage we should be using for RSO tincture, as I have seen this recommend over Isopropyl Alcohol.

With Isopropyl Alcohol which is 99% being used, im guessing it cannot be hospital grade? Or does it not matter?
