First time in Coco from seed, keeping it real simple , base nuts & a blend of 14 Beneficial Fungi & Bacteria to promote root growth & health, my thinking was is if I can get the Roots to explode as Seedlings & in Veg, good Flowering will sure follow.

I soaked the seeds in water with Pseudomonas Flourescens, Bacillus & Trichoderma for 24 hours, seeds started popping within 12hrs and straight into Canna Coco Pro with the same Bennies added as dry spores few grams per litre of coco & just moist enough to let water run when squeezed tapped down in clear plastic cups, to watch the roots develop, sitting on a heat mat, top covered with cling film till they broke the surface and leaves appearing before removing, T5s up high gentle light 18/6, Temps 24C & 22C lights off,

2nd week added 200ppm A&B with 4 extra Beneficial spores, 3 week A&B 350ppm 24C/22C RH 68% lightly bottom fed every 2nd day allowing the Coco to slightly dry out to promote the roots to go searching …..

So here they are 21 days from sowing seeds being transplanted to 2L pots Bennies mixed with coco pre buffered at 500ppm A&B, feeding every 2nd day 500/800ppm A&B, weekly drench of Bennies, lights down close 18/6, fan on sensor (white Honeywell controller) set ON 26C Off 24C to dissipate heat as required 24C/22C RH 65% - 80%

Six days later roots pushing out the bottom on the pots should have gone straight to 6.5Lpots . Now at 2 weeks Veg, time to transplant to 6.5L pots & Flip 12/12

Don't wish to be a killjoy but your roots look like they have git a but if algae on :(

Tony , Good to see you are observant , its a harmless bloom caused by Paecilomyces fumosoroseus, a very promising biological pesticide due to its extensive host range, over 25 different families of insects, diamondback moth, Russian wheat aphid, silver leaf white fly & wide range of mites Spotted Spider Mite, Red Mite, Brown Mite, & Rust Mites etc this is blended with the other Beneficial Fungi & Bacteria & works as a preventative biological pesticide, why wait for a pest attack,

My Weekly Drench

Nitrogen fixers: (Azospirillum sp., Rhizobium sp.), Phosphate solubilizers (Bacillus sp. Pseudomonas sp.), Potash mobilizer (Fraturia sp.) & Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhizae (VAM)

Nitrogen fixers: Nitrogen fixers (Azospirillum sp. & Rhizobium sp.), converts atmospheric nitrogen gas into plant usable ammonium & fulfills the plants nitrogen requirements. Nitrogen fixers promote plant growth produce vitamins, auxins & gibberellins which induce plant growth. Nitrogen fixers enhance seed germination rates, seedling vitality & increase crop yield.

Phosphate Solubilizers: Phosphate solubilizers (Bacillus megaterium var. phosphaticum & Pseudomonas striata) dissolve fixed tricalcium phosphate into plant utilizable monocalcium phosphate. Phosphate solubilizers produce organic acids (viz, citric acid, succinic acid, lactic acid,) natural hormones (viz, indole acetic acid, gibberellins etc.) & enzymes (viz, phytase, nuclease, lecithinase etc.) that aid, in solubilisation of insoluble phosphates into plant utilizable form. Phosphate solubilizers increase plants growth & crop yield.

Potash Mobilizer: The microbe, Frateuria aurentia is a beneficial bacterium capable of mobilizing soil available Potash to the root zone. It works well in all types of soil especially low K content grow mediums (Coco) These bacteria increase the availability potash.

Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhizae (VAM) : Mycorrhizae, mobilizing the major nutrients, nitrogen, phosphorus & potassium zinc, calcium, iron, magnesium & manganese. Mycorrhizal inoculation, enhances the absorption of water & neuitrents, Mycorrhizae produces antibiotics which immobilize & kill soil borne pathogens. Mycorrhizal inoculation reduces your fertilizer requirements to a low EC / ppm.nuirtian levels allowing you reuse your soil or coco, fork out the old roots & transplant in your seedlings or clones.

Bio-control agents, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Trichoderma viride, Trichoderma harzianum, Bacillus subtilis & Paecilomyces lilacinus. Bio-agents to control soil borne bacteria, fungal & nematode pathogens.

Foliar Bio-pesticides , Bacillus thuringiensis var kurstaki, Beauveria bassiana, Metarhizium anisopliae, Verticillium lecanii & Paecilomyces fumosoroseus. Bio-control for pathogenic pests & insects.

Are these all specialist products mate??

They are special they work, these results are under T5s with only Canna A&B as a base ,

I am 1 week into 12/12, 2 weeks Veg. specialist they are not , its the blend that makes them special , the supplier recommends that when brewed in a "Tea" they work even better, tomorrow I am building a Tea brewer using a fine disk diffuser which are used in water treatment plants & a 60L?/min air pump,

I don't think I am allowed to link to the suppliers online here, tried before and had a warning from the mods, its not expensive and when brewed you can dilute 70/1, i will be brewing much more than i can use indoors to test my brewer, if you were local i would give some to try out the rest will go the shrubs in my back garden. You could PM me?

If anyone is interested and I can find the time I could start a new topic on the Brewer, brewing the Tea and the results

This is my 1st time in Coco I am here looking for feed back on how I am doing, now that I am getting the feel of it I feel i could shave a week off the the growth so far

Also hanging 600W HPS tomorrow to see what the Iranian Landraces can produce,
