John'sMidnightGarden
Rar do I miss no-till! Don't even know how to word the title of this one. About to pot up to final pots. Due to seedlings dying, I've a purple haze a couple weeks behind. So smaller pot. I don't have suitable - thinking I can use empty plastic bottles to take up pot space, turning my 20l into a 15/14 maybe. Any better ideas than plastic bottles? I do have a sack of pumice stone, but figured it might not count as "space filling" i.e. the roots will still need to fill the pumice also. Otherwise I'd just fill the bottom with it. Shape of the bottles should prevent water sitting anywhere - I think. LST'ing the bigger plants but they're needing repot and that netting NOW. I hope to repot tomorrow. Any experiences / stories welcome thanks!
MindSoup
Just don't fill the pot all the way to the top maybe?
John'sMidnightGarden
Ha that was the question I couldn't word mate, got my head on now. I'm thinking that'd leave the block of the soil at a higher level than the new soil, exposing roots as I water. Could be the plant sort of sinks down gradually, but I dunno. Will be sorting my pot supply for next run, lesson learned, no big issue just silliness here. Nice to have such problems really!
John'sMidnightGarden
Can this thread be deleted please, realised I can just spread the roots out and indeed, not fill the pot up so much. Thanks
