herb420 Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Hello i have a plant growing outdoors and it is about seven feet tall. I LST style grew it when it was young. But people have told me during the budding stage you can doo things to focus all plant grown to buds. I have heard like picking of fan leaves or feeding it alot on compost and stuff, But i am not sure so if anyone could help me out with ideas to use that would be super!! thanks!!
Guest Stickybud73 Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 don't trim the fan leaves, trim the new shoots at a lower level, fan leaves act as solar panels. Less new shoots at the bottom, mean less 'airy' type buds, and the plant can focus on the top bits. Trim the bottom 1/3 if you want.
starway Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 compost teas are great ! im gonna try filling up a wheelbarrow with soil make a hole in the centre of the wheel barrow ! block the hole up and soak the soil in water for a day or 2 ,then open the hole of the wheel barrow and let the compost tea drip into a bucket. and then dilute to taste just a random idea i thought id try ! maybe try lining the soil with banana skins ? starway
Marcos Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Yep, I have bent, staked and tied my plants down to help with lower bud growth, I'm manually feeding BioBizz Bloom and Topmax in the flowering stage too ..
