Guest Tyler.Durden
Hey all. I have one of these from Mr Nice thats around two weeks since it germinated(did do two but one didnt come through), its currently in a 3 inch pot which it hasnt quite rooted out and is already around 7 inch tall, i put some other plants on flower yesterday and want to flower this in the corner of the room with them(if its not female i'll start again with two more beans). What im wondering is what size pot i should use, should i stick it straight into a 6.5l and go for it or would a smaller one work better?, i have some 5l and 3.5ls handy. Farmer Harris
If you want to flower it asap then your going to have to leave it in the pot its in now and wait for it to fill up with roots. Then flower. If you repot then you will have to wait for it to fill out the new pot with roots before flowering. Dont flower a plant unless the pot is FULL with roots. Guest Tyler.Durden
I know thats the conventional wisdom mate, but people say you want to flower these straight away from clone or seed, i cant imagine they all flower them in 3 inch pots? Farmer Harris
You dont want to flower any plant straight from seed ideally no matter what the breeder says. A plant that is mature will ALWAYS be nicer than a plant that was flowered immature. All I can say is root out a bigger pot and wait, or flower in this size pot. If you fill the 3litre pot then repotting into a 6.5l pot would be ok. Then just wait a couple of weeks and flower. If you dont fill the pot with roots you are risking root rot along with other problems. Better to wait and have bud instead of rush it and your plant die. I wouldn't of thought many flower in a 3" pot mate. I would do as rambone says and go with the conventional wisdom. Gragz
Guest Tyler.Durden
According to what ive read flowered straight from seed it could still grow to 1-1.5m, i dont have the head room to do it properly, its a 50% sat and stretches for the first 4 weeks of flower apparently, surely the roots will still grow in this time? how do people do it indoor with pure sats? surely it would be immposilbe to grow those indoors using conventional wisdom?
