1st off i'm glad that no-one got killed during this tragic event

(wonder if they'll find a cheap timer controlling 2K of hps lighting :D )

fantastic bit of reporting there robin powell,''The conditions required to grow cannabis indoors are well known to be a fire hazard'' Nobhead

Then , the woman that was interviewed about the Emergency services not being able to get to the fire quick enough blamed 'the people that own the bloody cars ' for the parking problem.

personally i think it was probably the local council's :yep: parking gestapo for not letting the cars park slightly on the pavement ,as they do in mine and many other peoples streets .

Hi

parking gestapo for not letting the cars park slightly on the pavement

Hear Hear

Lots of British cities are like this and they should be aloud to park over the kerb a just a wee bit for these very reasons cannabis or Not! I know folks may frown on the idea and quite rightly so to! but how else can the Fire, Police and Ambulance get there faster as most know around world every second counts!

Failing that maybe smaller but thinner fashionable 21 century designs hopefully in the future! but thats up to designers of today to solve these problems hopefully for tomorrows world :yahoo:

if it was legal you could have a spark come in and sign it off..all nice and proper like

''police say the house was a cannabis factory''.... :stoned: really need to get in contact with the governspunk to ask when does a house become a factory?

''equipment used to grow cannabis is a well known fire hazard''... lol my washing machine pulls more watts than my space..

most firers start in the kitchen or unmonitored candles in the bedroom..

more properganda from the bbc..the fire brigade could most probably count on both hands the amount of fires started by cannabis grows in the last 10 years

but im sure we'll hear of load more of these highly dangerous factory grows..gets the sheep more scared about things they don't know about

but as i said before if it was legal this wouldn't happen

Ever tried pushing a double pram down a pavement when there are cars parked on it? Or a single pram for that sake. Or even a wheelchair If I have been forced to go out onto the road once I must have done it 100 times. Makes me mad I can tell you :smoke:

I make sure I 'rearrange' the wing mirror for extra room. Its even worse when your taking the kids to nursery and the lazy fecking mothers pull up in their mpv's/4x4's etc and park on the pavement right infront of you!

Rant over

Hope that guys covered insurance wise, cant imagine you would find that on the claim form. Cant understand why growers take so little care with their grow.

hear hear (as well )

I know its been going on for years! Its a small problem for traffic and mum and dad but what a lulu to try and make all happy its not easy to solve

I favour slightly thinner cars for city life as i believe it would solve some but not all problems, We all need star trek transporters that would be problem solved for all

At the end of the report on tele tonight they stated

"you need to bypass the meter to get the power to run a cannabis factory" :smoke:

Their one liners are brilliant just like the gloves one last week

Yet another classic, who was that, a copper?

My take on the video is that once you bypass the 'leccy meter, it's a factory.

I wonder how many house fires there have been this week that were caused by chip pans ? Or faulty electrical goods ? Why did none of them get a mention by the BBC ? When are chip pans gonna be banned ?

Oh, sorry, I forgot to factor in the hysteria effect :(

pavement's are for people , I wish the parking gastapo would enforce that on my road .

having seen a few responses and given it a bit of thought,If it was one or the other, i'd rather struggle down a pavement than see a single soul burning because the fire engine was stuck.at the end of a road due to cars being fully on the road.

However, common sense should be the driver's primary responsibility. and if one has to park on a pavement, then it should be only if a pram/ wheelchair etc can pass.

and if a mirror gets bent back , then so be it. They should be folded in if you need to borrow a little of the pavement.

it's all about compromise imho

I think thats my worst nightmare.

Coming home from work and as I turn the corner seeing my house on fire with fire engines, coppers and a crowd of onlookers.
