Im struggling to get beyond a bluish sheen and achieving that true shine in the glass. I tried longer finish Polish but its the same if not a to tad worse as the polish fills with glass debris.

Im 2 stage polishing with 400 grit for 24-48 hours and zinc oxide to finish for 24-48.

Any tips or sweet spots etc would be mucn appreciated

Ive ordered more grades and plan to play around but i will not rest until my glass is smooth as a babies

I have lots of ideas of different styles and techniques that i want to try, Its going to be a process and I'm not expecting to nail the images straight out of the gate. I mainly photograph using natural light so just learning to use indoor/studio lighting is a mission in itself.

These first images were shot in the tent as I have a screen installed so was unable to take the plants out.  I didn't want the images to seem like they were in a tent so I cobbled together a diffuser for a small led flashlight, and shot these in pitch black with the camera in Bulb mode and carefully light painted the parts of the plant i wanted to show up in the image. These will be the "out of the darkness" collection

the original images were over 11mb Quality has been lost in the compression.

You’ve seen plenty of pictures of marijuana buds, plants, and crops on the web. Ford McCann wanted a closer look, down to the microscopic level. Images at that level are amazingly otherworldly, definitely artistic, and well worth sharing. The 170 images in the book were taken over the course of a year with both optical microscopes and electron scanning microscopes.

Here it is, I got it cheap, I think It had a label on saying it was free of ebola but nothing about syphilis or anthrax. It has a little tungsten lamp in the bottom.

I'm aiming in the end to get an almost full frame picture of a trichome sharp all the way through so I'm hoping for some advice from anyone who knows how to use these things.
