Topping end of week 4

Hi All

So plants all seem to be going for it this week, even the “Runt” picked up and has needed a bit of LST and one of them is 1/3 bigger than the rest. Right now Topping is looking like a winner to me :yep:

Feed:

1litre of water every 2 to 3 days, not doing full wet a dry. As I like to water just before the pot really drys out

per litre, cellmax nutes

2ml grow

4ml root boost

1ml seaweed

plus

1/2 teaspoon of Great White

1 teaspoon molasses

Jack 47’s

Around week 10, seem to have a bit of lockout on one of them so I’ve changed the feed for it.

But there all packing on some weight now, thinking another 1 to 2 weeks before the :execute:

So chopped down one of the Jack 47’s as it was looking spot on for me 50/50 on clear and cloudy and had stopped taking up water :yep: then hung in my usual spot in the shed. That’s when the stink started! so strong I could smell it 10 foot from the shed, this batch has been a bit more stinky and has looked a lot healthier all the way through the grow but didn’t expect this much smell :naughty:, just walking in the shed meant a change off clothes . So I’ve had to chop the lot as I’ve no where else to dry currently and can’t risk the the smell, bit of a shame as they were still packing on the weight but needs must!

Can’t wait to get some in the bong and see if there’s any difference to the last run

Got to say I’m really happy with Topping right now, it’s way easier to keep an even canopy and not a single snapped stem from my fat fingers :wassnnme:

Looking good there mate.

Interesting that topping your autos hasn't really effected them...

I accidentally snapped a stem on a NL auto & as you did, splinted & taped it...it too recovered & still yeilded well, though it did put it back around a week while it repaired & recovered from the shock.

Topping Auto’s end of week 6

Feed:

2 litres of water now every few days

per litre, cellmax nutes

2ml grow

4ml bloom

2ml seaweed

1ml silicoN

1 teaspoon molasses

Been struggling with temperature this week (joy of growing in a shed) managing to keep around 25c but would rather be 28 to 29 now flowering is starting. Might be time to buy a couple more tube heaters, currently running 2 in each bay.

Plants still going strong and looking on track to, but I do have an issue showing up on the older leaves. I’ve posted in sick plants but if anyone has advice please shout up.

Leaf issue

Nice stretch going on and plenty of bud sites :D

still showing signs of a deficiency on the leaves, got some Epsom salt to try next feed (one plant only). But apart from that there coming on well, can’t see any signs of stunting. Think the only tests left will be finished weight and smoke :)

Topping end of week 9

So looks like I’ve finally hit issues this week, found a split at the base of one plant and another looking like it’s going to do the same and for week 9 to me there looking stunted! they have no where near the amount of bud past grows have had by now. Bit of a shame as they have been real easy to grow and keep an even canopy but at least I’ve got the idea out of my system :wassnnme:. I’ll post up the final result but don’t think there’s going to be much to show off :wanker:

Thats thrips mate. You can see some damage in your last run in flower too. Wont quote the pic as is a long post but is December 17th- on the closer bud shots that silvery appearance on the lower fan leaves is down to those little rascals. I use resolva foliar. Organics would go neem oil.

Looking good through and like that space too. I far prefer a custom build to tents; almost enjoy the planning and putting together more than actually using the thing!

The cheeky little barstards! There’s me thinking I’ve got deficiencies or over doing the nutes

thanks so much for spotting this for me @Seeded, if you have any more advice on nuking the little fuckers please shout. But I’ll start researching now

Totally agree on custom builds, now kinda looking forward to moving in a couple of years so I can start all over again bigger and better :D

are these the purple punch?

looks like they havnt turned purple, which is maybe a good thing. i just finished some and they were utter garbage to be honest.

Mine were Barneys version, but i know that lots of these Dutch seedbanks buy the seeds in bulk from mostly Spanish growers, so it could be the same variety. Mine went full on purple, they smelled nice but the bud was airy, loose and not much of it.

large.4.JPG

In fairness yours look like they have some density so hopefully you do ok with them..for the thrips, theres not much will killthem but id be changing out the grow medium, and bleach everything in both rooms, once the grow is finished.

Just realised I said the same to you in another thread... there was me thinking it was just an early 2021 thrip outbreak on UK420 !

I find thrips one of the easier issues to get rid of personally. Resolva Is stocked widely so you won't need to pay the normal canna surcharge. Couple of foliar sessions making sure all leaves are drenched should see them gone. Definitely clean the lot after this run as badbillybob advises.

I love moving house for that very reason- new space, new design and another reason to convince myself that upgrading whatever item I have had for a few years is a good idea :wallbash:
