Hi All

Been on here for a while having a good stalk

Just coming to the end of my first ever grow and wanted to say a massive thank you lol to everybody on here especially @blackpoolbouncer who has been a gold mine of info , didn’t find this place until after I’d got nearly everything so a few changes to be made at some point!

Been gardening and loving the herb all my life so this has been on the to do list for a long time and finally beat the boss down during lockdown :yahoo:

Equipment:-

Lumatek 300 watt LED

5 inch extraction with charcoal filter

1.2 x 1.2 x 2m tent (cheap of eBay)

12 inch fan

2 tube heaters

Inkbird temp controller

and Cellmax nutes (grow and bloom)

Seeds:- from Sensei Seeds (Autos)
3 Sensei Amnesias

3 Northen Lights

Started soaking seeds for 36 hours then straight into B&Q buckets (lots of holes drilled) one failed but such is life. Then just feed and watered as required until now, been real lucky with no real issue so far apart from a heat wave while growing in a shed!!!!!! That was fun NOT

Up to week 9 now the Sensei Amnesias will be ready to cut at the end of the week I think and the Northen Lights will be another week or maybe two. All plants were flushed Friday so should be good to go :yep:

Good looking grow, those led's do a good job of keeping the canopy low don't they.

Really nice grow mate and good to see a fellow first timer making a success of it.  You clearly done your homework before starting.

Looks like you'll have a nice few jars just shortly :yep:

Look stinky @Wooden Monkey well done bud!

Do you mind sharing the distance you’ve been keeping your light from your ladies?
Also are you using the dimmer switch at all?

There is very little out there about these lights and it would be greatly appreciated

firstly I’d advise getting the spec sheet from the Lumatek site as it has all the info you need! Just takes a bit of reading :ninja::D

What I did was 100% power

seedlings 70 to 80cm

veg 50 to 60cm

flower 40cm (not moved since starting so probably close to 35cm now)

I would go closer In flower but I have 5 plants in there, next grow I’ll only do 4 with this light as I think the coverage with be better. I would also think about either going higher in veg or dropping power to get a bit more stretch before flowering so the buds have more room (there soooo dense :wassnnme:)

just my views :yep:

So I’ve just chopped my first grow :D

That’s the good news! Bad news is it’s due to Bud Rot :wallbash:

Checked the plants yesterday morning as I do every day and spotted a small brown spot near the top of a good size bud! Once I opened up the bud found a patch about an inch in diameter , so decided to chop the branch and then heavily chop the effected area just to be sure then placed what was left in the drying cabinet. Had to do this on 2 other buds as well! Reckoned I binned a good oz. Then this morning found 2 more sites!

So decided with the current temps and humidity which are way to high in a shed! to harvest the lot and start drying, just hoping I’ve got all the rot but from what I read theres always more infected than you find so I’ll be checking every day big time.

Anyway time for Virgin chop :execute:porn :angel_not:

Awesome thread mate.

What's that setup you've got for drying?  I'm fast approaching chop day and would rather not use my tent but have no other option currently!

Setups just a cheap fan attached to a Mountain Air filter in a cabinet I made in the garage. Fingers crossed it works, it’s first grow so this is all very new to me :yep:

Bollocks!

Think I know the answer but just want to check as this is my first grow!

Does this look like Bud Rot?

Had a hit of it while finishing the grow but cut back hard and looked like I had all of it but now I’ve finished drying and starting to trim it’s looking like there’s rot here and there in the lot!

what do you think?

if it is do I have any options! i.e. bubble hash?

So just finished trimming and I’m somewhat gutted to say the least! Poxy rot :furious:

2 plants totally fucked

2 plants mostly fooked, pulled off just over 3oz

1 plant only had 2 small hits of the rot and I pulled 155 grams of lovely green bud, and it wasn’t the best one of the bunch (the only good news ;))

Now just need to finish curing and hope there’s no more mould in what I’ve chopped. If I’m honest I hold fuck all hope on getting anything from this grow.

On the plus side from what I’ve sampled I can grow some nice tasting weed that gets the job done and smells amazing, on to the next grow with everything crossed
