  1. Defoliating end week 1

From the album Repotted to 8 litre

Green Gelato under 230w, end of first week flowering defoliation.
  2. Hi there I'm into my first week of flowering for my first ever grow. I'm attempting the mainlining technique and despite a few mistakes everything is going pretty well. I have trained my plant to have 4 main colas. The guides I have been following have said to remove growth tips below the nodes I've topped to which I've done. The main growth tip have since continued to grow and generate new secondary growth tips as you can see from the image. Should I still continue to remove all secondary growth tips through flowering so the plant is focusing all its energy into the 4 main colas?
  3. Hi, hello, how’s it going? Vertically challenged Indica help? This is my first grow and I would just like a sanity check if that’s okay? So I’ve been vegging these for about 6 weeks now. I feel I left it a bit late for the LST but it’s just the plant was/is so short and bushy it felt like it was to stumpy to have an effect, anyway.... My question is now, do I defoliate these humongous fan leaves from the top or are they absorbing more light for the plant than they are blocking out. The bud site below seems to be doing okay in its shade? any other comments welcome - they are Power Flower from RQS grown under maxibright daylight LED, fabric pots, coco, 18/6 THIS IS ONE OF THE MASSIVE FAN LEAVES - 3 near the top of each plant, as big as my (not small) hand THE BUD SITE ITS SHADING... 4. Hello everyone! As i am in the first week of flowering ( week 9 ) on my fourth organic soil grow I am experimenting and trying new techniques. One such technique is defoliation. I did have two very small defoliation sessions during the veg period but i was too scared to remove many leaves (not even close to 20% of each plant). I did some research and growers do defoliate during flower as well (which is something i thought was not to be done). I will attach 3 pictures so you can have an idea of what is going on in my grow tent and maybe some of you can help!

  6. Good morning im a long time viewer but haven’t really posted. I’m am doing my first scrog grow and 8 days into 12/12. The canopy is THICK.. lovely heads everywhere.. ive looked at lots of flowered scrogs and it appears at some point most or all of the fan leaves are removed. When do I do this, do I just do all in one go? Defoliation makes sense as at the moment u can only see heads.... little bit about the grow My 3rd grow of 4 different strains all in dwc but this time I have linked the buckets for easy empty/fill. im using general hydro nutes 1.2 by 1.2 tent in a cold location 400w and 600wHps (I know) (I did build RDWC but it was too loud) Strains are Gzkittles dark ghost train Blue Dream Amnesia Lemon Cheers Col
  7. Good morning to you all. 3 1/2 weeks into my Fast Buds grow - 2 x Blue Dream'matic & 2 Mexican Airlines. Gorilla Shorty Tent 3 x 3 x 5.8 Grow Northern Telos 0008 [Supplementary GN HS1 + HLG 100 QB should either or both be required at flowering stage.] Phresh 6" Hyperfan + CarboAir 50 carbon filter. Soil grow with 70/30 mix of Biobizz All Mix & Biobizz Light Mix. [15l Root Pouches] Ecothrive Charge & Biosys -[Will add Biobizz Bloom or Molasses once flowering commences.] At day 26 with all the plants - due to my daft decision to grow 4 in a small space I've experimented with fimming on 1 and topping on another - all 4 have had some defoliation in order to open up the budsites. Will keep you posted on a regular basis. Any advice most welcome. Ciao 4 now, Harry
  8. Wondering if I should further defoliated this plant. Not sure how much to remove. It is an auto but it grows aggressively. defoliated twice before and it always came back with a vengence but that was during veg Should I remove all leaves on the lower part? Leave just bud sites?
  9. Hi all, This is my first post and my first grow, and I'm looking for some advice on how to proceed with my plant. Thought I'd start of with some general information about the grow: Strain - No Idea (Had a few seeds in my grinder compartment and raffled ^_^) Grow Medium - Soil Grow Environment - Being a broke man's grow, there is no tent. The pots are just sat in my room Lighting - 1 300w "full-spectrum" LED Nutrients - Green Future Organic Tomato Fertiliser 4-1-2 Water - Volvic (Approx 7 Ph) Other Stuff - No humidity sensor/regulator, No Ph control/testing kit So I started on a 24-0 schedule after doing some reading and finding out that bud doesn't actually need a "rest period" to perform well; however after a few weeks of vegging and more reading I decided to swap the schedule to 18-6 because I noticed she wasn't as tall as I was expecting (this could be down to the strain, but the additional reading I did mentioned that the down time gives the plant some time to stretch so I thought I'd give that a go). She's gonna be 7 weeks old tomorrow (from seed), I've done some LSTing and some very light defoliation so far and feel like she should be ready to flower now, but what I'm seeing is telling a different story. To improve the spread of light, I've also been using pieces of cardboard wrapped in foil that act like mirrors and reflect the light to the underside of the plant. I've included some pictures below: So my main questions are these: Will I get a decent yield if I put her into flower now? Should I do some more defoliation and if so where should I focus? Does mirroring the light reduce the plant's height? (I.e, does the reflected light make the plant reach less because there is another source closer than the main light?) What is the cheapest way to feed your plants during flowering? Thanks in advance!
