  1. Hey everyone. A few months back, weed guy didn't have any weed, however he gave us a decent handful of some really high quality lemon haze, free of charge, always nice, which to my suprise he explained came from a motherplant that was allowed to flower, then later on was seeded, this is a bit confusing, flowering mothers, but whatever, I grew out 1 plant to begin with in april, but it was male so I started a bunch more, currently at a not bad amount but enough to count on the hands still so no worries, I also had some manadrin cookies with a few seeds present, only in 1-2 buds so I'm told this could be the result of a hermie plant although I have grown out two of those seeds and one is a male other is too early so It can't be hermie, the cookies looks extremely indica, pure afgani genetics, roots grow very very fast, think stems, good genetics. the lemon haze grows roots much slower but seems to branch out at a similar rate, in the beginning they grow faster but once the cookies has a root system it seems to beat it out, I have some photos to share, check them out.
  2. 1st post! I've just moved into a place with a big old South facing balcony and overlooked by no one but the sea! Enclosed both sides and very sheltered, gets a good 6-7 hours sunlight where I plan to have the plants. I have a bit of experience having made a friend a killer stealth cabinet concealed in a fake chimney breast in his house! I helped out on a couple of scrogged grows which went well so have an idea of whats what but 1st time outdoors. I have already 3 Dutch passion auto euforia going approx 2 weeks ago and doing well. Germinated in paper towel and all 3 popped in 24 hrs! I have them in clover multi purpose compost as someone experienced here said it was the biz. Seedlings were in 9cm pots, 2 plastic and one clay. I had them inside in the window and over night under a crapper of an ebay 45w cfl which not convinced very effective. 1st question. Is a 45w cheap 6500 bulb about 3 inches from top of seedlings going to do any good? Any advice on something better but very cheap to get my next 3 going? I think I saturated the soil to begin with and was worried had fucked it to begin with. Interestingly the one in the clay pot def went the fastest. One of them has done the weird three leaf seedling thing... interested to see how that goes. Put them in the airing cupboard a couple of nights which helped dry them out. Gave them a gentle water and then my mum came over and thought she was being helpful by saturating them again!! Gave her a bollocking and decided to transplant to 2l pots to help dry out. I do a lot of gardening so confident not disturbing too much. Will transplant again to bigger pots which I understand is asking for it but lets see what happens. I've had them outside all weekend with seriously hot weather and 2 are going really well. The 3 leafer looks a bit stunted. 14 days in and 2 of them are flying. 2nd question... I got 20l pots for final pots. Is this ridiculously big? I have just ordered some Dutch passion CBD white widow seeds and plan to pop them in a couple of weeks so mid June, hopefully done by mid September. I was planning on keeping the 2 best Euforia plants and 2 best White widow so there are 2 crop a month apart. 3rd question... is this madness with the smell? I have a balcony with neighbours above but they wont be able to see them. There is a wall between our balcony and the neighbours to the left and end of building to the right. Right on the sea it is quite breezy. Guess I will have to suck it and see. 4th question. How do I make images smaller?

  4. So how did you guys get into growing in the great outdoors? What made you come up with the idea? Why did you start? Did you make any vital mistakes? What strain? How many plants? What was your yield? What year did you start? Just curious Provocateur.
  5. Afternoon. I've mixed my own living soil and have some spare 20L air pots that I'm thinking of using outside. Being pretty new to growing with living soil, will these pots be big enough given they will purely be living off the soil? Should I just keep an eye on the nutrient/microbe levels or just start with bigger pots? Cheers
  6. Hello folks, I'm Herb. Finally got my arse into gear and I'm growing my own for once. Having a shot anyway! I am usually quite shit at keeping records and organised and such but I've always been sure I want to document the journey, so I am starting this thread now while I am on the computer and can be arsed. I just ordered twelve Real Gorilla Seeds, and some jiffy pellets. The strains I went for were Green Gold and Mighty Gold, half and half. Feminised. I would love to keep it old school and sex the plants and save money and learn more about farming with natural seeds, but I will be working away most of the summer, and want to be able to relax and just leave em to it. I went for RGS because they were a bit cheaper than what I was going to go for, and after reading a few rave reviews I started noticing more tales of their greatness popping up - especially the Mighty Gold. I have several plots on various mountainsides - all with uninterrupted sky and perfect S or SE views. There's absolutely no one about and almost no reason to go to them, but if you did there's no cover for a big plot. Most grows (it seems) is find a spot with good sun that's totally enclosed/protected, and then cram as many plants as possible in there. But my environment, I reckon, is better suited to sparse planting, out in the open for the world to see, but in camouflage. Like a wolf in sheeps clothing! Har har.... I'm talking about tens of square miles of forestry and field, and roughly fuck all people for each of those square miles. I have walked for hundreds of hours around this area, and see another person perhaps once every ten or twelve. Almost always on proper footpaths, that is. Anyway, the essence of my theory is that 6-8 plants dotted in very small groups across this area is very unlikely to be discovered, when you consider how close you'd need to get to smell or spot a lone ganja plant among the other foliage. They're a pain in the arse to get to, all on slopes, with lots of obstacles, all to get absolutely nowhere. I just realised I've actually written a fair bit, my plan was just to put it down to ensure I continued it, not actually write about this. It's 10:40am and I still haven't slept so I'm going to do that now. I will be back soon and give a proper log! Look forward to me crying to y'all for help when it all goes tits up :haha:
  7. Iv been talking to a Nordic seeds company that specialises in outdoor seeds and I think indoor too for there climate , he has sent me seeds (on way) and has chosen what he thinks is the best for my lat I said 56,cold ,wet weather here on Scotland with sun coming and going he was happy to send some to the UK and pay for the mailing free and was exited too know his seeds are going to the UK ...I couldn't belive It was over the moon as I don't get a lot of money ..what a kind guy/company the strains are --- quoted An indica auto mix and a strain called Himalaya Blue Diesel. Anyone heard of these before or grown them in UK There is photos of them grown where there based ,will post them when I get on the laptop later they look intresting and I can't wait to try these things
  8. So this is my first go at trying a outdoor gorilla grow, I've done a fair bit of reading up, but any hints/tips/suggestions along the way would be appreciated Over the Christmas holidays, i was tripping, walking the dogs in the snow, enjoying a smoke and pondering the dilemma every stoner has: I smoke too much. In my budget some of that money could be used for better purposes, BUT.. we all love a good smoke.. "i can't grow inside" i huff, but i can grow outside.. Even after i sobered up i had likened to the idea, a short while after having a think, i realised I already had a place out of the way, discrete, quiet, and hard to access, all else i needed were seeds, pots, fertilizer and 6ish hours of sunlight. It took 2 hours or so to clear the place of weeds and to ensure to enough sunlight. On the subject of seeds, i thought long and hard about what to try, i knew i needed two strains, so i could compare which grew better for my climate, and to decide what to try and go all out on next year. My immediate thought was to look at old strains i know and love, blue cheese, northern lights etc however, if i were to be growing outside, where i can really do very little, in terms of control over the temperature of the plants. I would instead need two strains that are tough, resilient, used to my latitude&weather... That really narrowed the list down to about 20, and i went with: Latitude 52.1 UK Dutch Passion No1 x3 7th/april germination date (early september harvest) Blue hash x3 1st/april germination date (to harvest in early october) I'll also use: 10L&40L fabric bags Bloom fert for fertilizing during flowering Sensi Grow A+B for fert during the vegetative stage Peat pellets for germination. If all goes well, I'll update the journal every 2 weeks or so with some pictures to keep you updated on how everything goes, all should start april/

  13. Hi guys I'm looking for a strain of auto's does well in greenhouses/outdoors was thinking something like Dianfem blue amnesia XXL, Original sensible Purple Haze or Buddha magnum which I have heard goods things on here. I'm sort of a newbie (Done a few grows indoors but it was awhile ago) so i'm game for any tips and suggestions too. Would like too though if anyone has had any experience with these strains or a great/bad one with others strains in a greenhouse.
  14. So here maybe a new idea for you all. ive come across something called the Kratky method. A hydroponics system with is just a bucket filled with water and a basket In the lid filled with perlite. Plant in the middle add nutes to water and grow outside. And it works! People have mentioned that stem rot and things would be likely but from what I’ve seen it works amazing and the buds come out beautiful. gas anyone else done this or is it just a lucky break he had? Also thing for Guerilla Growing purposes it’s amazing. Hang a bucket in a tree with an auto.
  15. So my mission begins, a big thanks to all at Dinafem and a big to Mark, once again pulling out all the stops for us seasonal growers I've suffered a real lot the last few months, after herniated disks in the spine, quacks discovered I have aggressive PsA, never experienced so much pain before hence my GG selections are for once..My own saviour. I've chosen Original Amnesia Auto for that personal favourite heavyweight hit and I'm gonna sample OG Kush Auto CBD as my second selection. Also have a few tins of Critical Jacks and other strains from the Dinafem catalogue that I've collected the past few months. I'll be germing in clear pint cups, bottoms removed and placed in coloured cups, transplanting made easy for autos. Pics and video to follow on that. Soil is all native with very little in the way of amendments. Will update on that as I go, just getting started here, well when all this snow retreats Wish you all the best for 2018, may the wind be at your back and the sun upon your face
  16. Hi everyone, this is going to be my first time grow. I've got pretty much everything planned but I'm a bit torn between whether or not I should plant my auto seeds straight into the final location (outdoors in the ground) after germination or plant them in pots first before transferring once they've grown for a while. The reason I ask this is because I've read in multiple places that auto strains don't take well to be transferred pots, and it can do more harm than good in comparison to just planting into the ground directly. Any advice from personal experience/things you've read would be greatly appreciated.
  17. Greetings fellow gger's and all fellow herbalists, welcome to my RGSC Comp Diary! Firstly a big shout out to Panik for generously providing this opportunity to grow out what most gg's have been waiting for a long time to see come to fruition, these legendary seeds of Kong!! I'll be growing out Whitey Freeze and Green Gold here at Lat 53,.. Popped these yesterday straight into root trainers, no pre-soak, window sill jobby. Once they are up and happy and the weather warms they'll move to a safe spot in garden until I can get them to plot. And here is where they're going: This is a new plot I'd been eyeing up for some time, looks very promising. It's like a sump at the bottom of a slope so seems nutrient rich: Lots of worms! In my holes i'll be putting WRHM at the base, and a mix of homemade garden compost, vermicompost, calcified seaweed and bonemeal: Well excited for the coming season, Jah willing it could be a great one to remember. All the best to everyone gg'ing out there, stay safe and may you have a bountiful harvest.

  19. My apologies if this is already a thread but I can't seem to find one like this. So has any ever vegged indoors until the plant was HUGE and then transplanted it outside in the UK at the start of the season? I love the idea of it and yielding massively from one plant. Provocateur.
  20. Hi all. This is my first time growing outdoors and I have one unknown Sweet Seeds auto in a 25-litre (I think) pot. I can't tell you how long it has been growing because I've just let it get on with things along with an occasional feed, and all has been going well. But yesterday I spotted that some of the buds were beginning to turn brown - see pics. Some bits are crispy whereas other bits aren't. Is this bud rot or perhaps sunburn through water droplets? What should I be doing? For info I'm at 52 lat and the weather has been periods of good strong sunshine mixed with periods of Biblical rain. The environment is woodland and they're in soil. Sorry the pics are quite big
  21. Hi All. This is my first grow and first post. I've been loving what I've been reading so far, there is clearly a massive amount of time, love and expertise all over this forum. I've currently got 4 plants on the go in NW Scotland, 3 mexican sativa's and 1 auto dwarf. I started them all under the clear panels of my barn during the very warm late spring we had and carefully potted up as the roots poked out the bottom. I'll admit that I put the horse in front of the cart when I ordered seeds on a whim. I really should have read more about what strains suit Scotland best but I'm here now, so may as well persevere and gain some experience. I moved one sativa outside in a builders bucket filled with compost, soil and perlite around 2 weeks ago and kept the others inside. The guy I moved outside has grown much slower (understandable given he's colder, wetter and had to get used to new soil mix) but he's catching up The other guys that have been indoor are much lankier and large of leaf and look great! I want to get these guys outside pretty soon. I guess I have a few focused questions for anyone that has perhaps sailed these particular waters before! The outside area I'm growing is awash with bracken, willow and all manner of weeds so it's pot growth for sure. Will the pots in the above picture be big enough or should I risk potting up these fairly big fellows into a builders bucket? Should they be staked to protect against wind? It's obvioiusly fairly wet in bonny Scotland. If overwatering of the soil can be a bad thing, is is worth putting some cardboard on the soil to act as a mulch but also to deflect the water? I can then water when needed? When the plant itself is rained on, is this a bad thing or just the soil getting soaked? These are already quite leggy, should I be pruning the top middle shoots from now? Thanks in advance! Tallestman

  25. anyone had a go of these? thinking of trying some but not seen much of them on here or the net, only gp autos heard its not the best tasting but gives high yeilds and is meant to have good mold resistance im after a high yeilding, strong indica that will get me to sleep for many nights
