Since C99 now appears to be extinct has anyone out there compared Jack Flash and C99 either to grow or smoke? It's just that C99 allegedly is a Jack Herer X unknown cross to give Princess which was then "cubed" to give C99.
Jack Flash is allegedly a Jack Herer X SuperSkunk/Haze cross which is then inbred. So you could see the similarities in the genetic background. Has anyone made this comparson?

ive a friend still does jack, but c99 is one of his favs, and i have never heard him make any comparisons.

jacks a good strain. very hard to kill, and a good performer. humidity in the first weeks of its life will send it one of two ways. damp conditions get the usual plant, but dry conditions will see other genes come out on top. a short sweet nuggy plant rather than the long branched plant.

the flash is ofton mistaken for durban widdow. it ofton needs putting side by side before people see its different.

Um, what exactly are you driving at here, TheHazeCrew?

Are you trying to replicate C99, or something?
Which, BTW, is by no means extinct, where did you get that idea from?

I don't really know Jack Herer and its family, but I think the main difference between them and C99 is that the latter is easier to grow and matures quite a bit quicker. I suspect it would be quite a fluke if you could "replicate" it from JH beans.
TheHazeCrew
I'm not interested in replicating C99 from Jack Flash. It's just that from reading posts by OT1 that C99 f2's are nowhere close to the origonal C99. I'm not in a position to grow anymore but I have grown (in order)
Skunk (Sensi, OK)
Northern Lghts (Sensi, pretty good)
Bubblegum (White Label, shit)
White Widow (Feminised Dutch Passion [I think], OK)
C99 (Brothers Grimm. Only 1 seed out of 10 germinated; it was female but it was so so at best)
Jack Flash (Sensi, not the most trippy weed I've smoked but certainly the most powerful ever and I'm a regular visitor to Amsterdam).

So I'm just interested given that C99 has a vast reputation (maybe I just had a very poor batch of seeds, I bought them just before BG disappeared so maybe it was a clearout). The Jack Flash I grew was light years ahead.
I call myself TheHazeCrew because after the Jack Flash experience I now on trips to A'dam go for Haze or Haze hydrids (come out of Centraal Station, get the No. 24 tram to Albert Cuypstraat and go to Katsu. Simply the best for Haze there is). I go for SSH quite a bit (Greenhouse).
So, why was C99 shit given it's reputation and Jack Flash so far ahead given their similar parentage?
Cheers

I thought C99 was a spontaneously mutated(sport) Jack Herer plant,much like cheese was a skunk #1.

Or was that Cinderella or summink else?

Nah, mate it was a batch of alleged Sensi JH bought in a coffee shop. Some people even question just how much "JH" the mum was. The bud was seeded by an UNKNOWN father. Then three of the fems produced by these (essentially unknown) seeds gave three phenos "Genius" (forerunner of Apollo), "Princess" (forerunner of Cindy) and CoffeeGirl (IIRC).

The Grim Bros. story is very well documented, I'm sure you'll find it with a simple search.

I don't really understand your question, mate. Cindy was popular cause people liked it and, of course, it was very fast, crystally and yieldy. Doesn't mean you won't get the odd poor plant. Even phenos from the same batch of seeds cab differ wildly, never mind something distantly related (maybe).

Cinderella-99 is alive and well, and can be obtained at Reeferman in the Netherlands.
I have Cindy going on 48 day today,so I should be harvesting in the next week or so.This plant is not just hype. Its sooo easy to grow, its so fast in flower its insane, and last but not least, the Cannabinoid profile is good to say the least.
Besides from that,me dont think, that seeds in a bag of "Jack Herer" bought at the Sensismile cafe, would be anything else than J.H.Just my opinion.I know Sensi, and how picky they are about their reputation.
This is a Cindy,48 days old:
