Hey fellow farmers.

Here's a few pics of a couple of present grows. The tall one a Durban Poison feminised wub.gif and the short sick one seen 1st, Skywalker (Mazar x Blueberry) now slowly getting better
wink.gif .

As you can see, the offshoots of the skywalker are growing and they're getting faster every day though she may have now hermie'd plus they're right next to eachother.

I'm using, perlite, vermiculite, Irish moss peat and a bit of J Harvey's potting compost.
Got different fertilizers with varying amounts nutrients high in each of the three primary macro nurtients and trace micro nutrients.

I need to put the Durban Poison into the ground as she's getting a bit inconspicuous but the root system although grown quite a bit since re-potting doesn't seem enough to set her up nicely for flowering as she's still rocketing. I've bought some Vitax 11-45-10 to boost her botty and hopefully prepare her for the darkness.

So i call on you for three questions.

1) Will 11Nitrogen/45 Phosphorus/11 Potassium be ok to set her up for flowering in a month or so or at least bulk her roots enough to continue vegging nicely?

2) Is it worth getting rid of the Skywalker because he/she..it..might change the sex of Miss Poison.

3) The Big One: What stage of the plants life can a male alter the sex of a female.

Thanks guys

Holy Crap, is it going to be grown in a desert? eek.gif That's one helluva feed you're using shock.gif Serioulsy - is the soil absolutely rubbihs? I wouldn't havethought such a feed would be needed, myself unsure.gif
A male plant cannot change the sex of anything. It can pollinate a female, but not change her sex?
Are you asking about pollination?

No i know about that (pollinating/creating feminised seeds etc) but i red on UK420 heard that if a female gets too stressed she can hermaphrodite. Her roots are really small so must be working overtime all the time. doctor.gif

As they are both outside they'll probably start flowering at the same sort of time and if the skywalker has maled,
Then will it just make lots of seeds on her with usual budding. What i mean is will her flowering get affected atall?

When a plant hermies it doesn't turn male, it's still female but also has some male parts. The danger with hermies is that they can pollinate themselves, and any other female plants nearby. If a plant is pollinated it will produce seeds, which will affect the yield somewhat, but still produce a cracking smoke.

To answer your questions by number :

1) Bloody hell that's way too hot, or at least it would be in an indoor grow - but I don't know anything about using ferts outdoors.
2) No, because it can't change the sex of Miss Poison. It might pollinate her when she's in flower. But what makes you think Skywalker has hermied?
3) It can't, not ever. You need to do some more reading. To draw a rather crude analogy, shagging your girlfriend does not turn her into a bloke. doh.gif

Thats all good.

'Quote squirrel' Ello mate: "But what makes you think Skywalker has hermied?"

Her top seven's wilted and i didn't really know what to do and i snipped three sets sadwalk.gif and then all the remaining 3's/5's curled up at the edges.
Being the donkey! thumbdown.gif
