Well I was checkin me ladies tonight as per usual when I seen this strange looking twat of a spider on me leaf. he had made some really fucked up webs like some kind of retarded spider would. They aint webs like a normal spiders web, they are like triangle shaped and not many threads ( maybe he is stoned ). Now this little bastard aint massive or so small her could be a spider mite, but could he be a problem? He is about the size of a lentil and a translucent orange/yellow colour. He is perched on top near a bud and sort of scrunched up in a position I can only describe as menacing. . Anyway I am not one to like killing anything so I have left him be for now, I did think he could come in useful to see off any other pests that may be about. So people do I name this spider thing and let him be or kill the bastard? if he stays alive some name ideas would be greatly appeciated so as I can stop calling him bastard.

Cheers Owd, I didn't think it was gonna be something nasty, but it doesn't look like any spider I have seen before. I did wonder if the intense light had somehow changed his colour. So you got a name for this chap then Owd seeing as it looks like my GR is going to be his home for at least 6 more weeks?

Need a picture and I might be able to tell you what kind it is.

Bubba sounds about right. I hereby name this strange bastard spider Bubba. Cheers, Imp he is far larger than a spider mite I think. I have never seen a spider mite and I hope I never do. What I thought was odd about this spider was his webs he had made. I did see a video about spiders on drugs and they made strange webs so I wonder if thats why his webs are all funky. Maybe I should name him Funky Bubba ?

Vegetarian Spider Now that would just be my luck wouldn't it. I have also had these little black fly/moth type things on both my grows, but they never seem to do any harm that I know of. Maybe Bubba will see some of them off

I know the look scary as hell and give you the creeps but all spiders (not spider mites) are good they eat all the pests that you don't want around.
Spider mites are something totally different. There a mite.

I just read that there are a dozen or so spiders in the Uk that can bite If Bubba bites me he is off to spider heaven.

the main problem being it would probably prefer to keep munching the product
Seriously I do not know of a British vegetarian spider (mites are not spiders) so it is living on wild life.
Though it is not a pest there must be pests present, or it would leave (starve), if there are you have a choice give it free reign or spray, if you spray will you kill it
Also is it clogging breathing holes or doing other subtle damage

PS I am routing for the spider but then it is not my grow

i had a spider like that in my grow room, i tried to move it and the little thing jumped at me, all i could do is think of the film Arachnophobia, shit my self , had to get my partner to remove it.
He smiled, caught the little buddy and put him/her outside.

I spose he is there cos I do get a few flying pests about my room. I could use my erdicote on them and they would all be dead the next day but they don't seem to be doing any harm. I have a real problem with killing anything to be honest, I feel guilty if I so much as stand on an ant .
