I've been reading a lot of forums lately and this one i liked, so i decided to join.
I have been growing for few months outdoors and the setup is as basic as it can be, but now i decided to get my hands dirty and start with a somekind of indoor solution. At the moment I have a closet in which I have 50cm*50cm*~2m of free space and i was wandering if that can be of any use. I think that it can really easily house 1 plant, but what i would really like to know, is if i can grow 4 plants simultaneously?
I would also like to buy 2 sets of seeds. I need ones that are cheapest, most easy to grow (maybe with a short time to grow and flower, because im really anxious to smoke my own pot and finally maybe small to be able to fit most amount of plants in my drobe).
So any help from you, great minds of uk420, would help me to get this one sorted out.

Hello Supafly, yeh you should get four plants in there, I'll let someone else advise on the seeds I'm a newbie.

Welcome.

Welcome from another newbie,

Nice space, you should have lots of scope with 2m height. If I read u right (I'm wasted) 2m is height and 50cmx50cm width and depth ?

If I've understood right you'd have about 25cm (2) per plant.

I'm sure someone more experienced will come along and be able to answer you better.

Anyway, good luck with grow and welcome. smoke.gif

yea you're right about the measurings, but the amount of space i have per plant depends on how many i'm going to grow. if had 25cm2 per plant then that would mean i would grow 100 plants, at least thats what i think, sounds a lot, but 50cm*50cm=2500cm2 and divided with 25 u get 100. But that would not be reasonable.

Hi Supafly, welcome to uk420. You could probably grow four plants in there but you would be pushing it for space in 12/12, they grow out as well as up. Three might be better. Unless you do a SOG (Sea of Green) grow, where you grow lots of small plants instead of a few large ones.

On seeds, Skunk #1 is a nice smoke and very hardy, good at surviving newby mistakes. Mandala have a good range of cheap but good seeds - their Speed Queens grow like the bloody clappers, a very vigorous plant. Have a look through the uk420 shop's seedbank, but don't believe what the seed companies say about flowering times, and if you do go with Mandala, ignore their advice to pH the water if growing in compost, it's bollocks.

Best of luck with it.

Hi supafly, if you are after seed's there is a lot of good banks out there, but be very cautious lot's of crap one's to. Namely PUKKA.

Welcome dude from yet another newbie.

Squirrels right, find something resilient.
There's alot of info out there on different types/hybrids and habitats originally grown in (somewhere!) so from that you can match it to your set up. If you've got lighting i'd be careful with high output lights 600w or above hps or others it may get really hot and that can frazzle your grow really easily even tough you've got height.

I used a single envirolite on a double reflector in a space half your're size and you can feel that it was a perfect temperature even though i could put my hand on it with no trouble when it had been on all day. They're dirt cheap and well quiet and the plants loved it!

Try looking at some smaller plants if you want a quicker crop like cinammon or grapefruit but i'm sure there's quite a few more. I wouldn't bother with lowryder/crosses yet there still in the experimental stages and you can't feminized. The stone is ok but could be buzzed up a little. Some sites are a really good price and fairly informative try

[LINK REMOVED]

I've put feminsized up beacause i've found with different strains, theres different characteristics and if you decide to put another in which looks similar to ones you have b4 they've budded the whole process is up the shitter.
Hope it helps

18 inches square, 2.8 square feet, it's roughly half the size of my grow ...a 250 watt HPS would give you 90 watts PSF and could yield you 4 ounces.

You could fit in two plants "au naturel", or 1 plant trained (LST or SCROG) and vegged a bit longer.

Since you would only be starting off 3 or 4 seeds, a couple of 20 watt CFLs would do for the first 14 days.

Thank you all for the tips.

could u explain me how 3 plants are any different from 4 plants, because i grom in a square shaped area and there is almost no difference between growing 3 or 4 plants. I think i would be growing like this :
_____
| x x |
| x x |
ŻŻŻŻŻ
so tell me how a 3 plant setup would be more spacy in a place like that?

Two factors. Your carbon filter is going to be filling up most of one quarter anyway, they're fecking enormous but you've got to have it. And the plants need room to spread out. If you cram in as many pots as you can fit, the plants will shade each other and stretch all the way up to the light. Been there, done that. doh.gif

Hello welcome to the site yahoo.gif
Supafly
i thought that i could but the carbon filter high above the plants horisontally just under the ceiling, because i have aprox 2m high room and they wont reach it.
Squirrel pls tell me how would u situate these 3 plants in the drobe for them to have max space(cause i do want them to grow with max space)
