Full Version: Got 2 Plants In Same Pot How N When Should I Seperate??

Basically before i went on holiday i stuck an early misty seed with an already sprouted early misty and when i came back to my surprise it had popped up to join the other 1! They are now about 4 weeks old and i dont really know what to do. this is my 1st time growing and i wasnt really expecting them to work. They might not even be female.
ive got other prblems like where am i gonna transfer them cos soon they will be too big for me window sill. Any suggestions any1? thanks for yah help! (they currently stand 10 inch tall)

Hi thirstygrower and welcome to UK420 mate if I havent said it already.

You can go about it in 2 different ways.

You could try to separate the two as their stems arent together and you could just cut right down between the 2.This will cause some damage but repotted will soon recover with no harm done.

Or you could leave them in their pots till they show sex.Then if it's 2 girls leave em be,just let them grow together sharing the same pot or if you get one male just chop that off completely and forget about it and just grow the female.

Now peeps reading this may say the male root system will rot down and cause sub soil problems but I've done this several times with no harm done.

Best practice I think is to separate them.
