Well I thought it was time to put up my first pics of my first greenhouse / garden grow.

I had 10 Lowrider x2, 10 Maui Waui, and 10 Early Girl seeds, which I popped into my airing cupboard, and managed to germinate 9 Lowrider, 8 Early Girls, and 9 Maui Waui's. Not bad i felt...

So after transferring them from propagator to 3" pots, I was left with what I thought was quite a haul. I promptly put them into my greenhouse where they seemed to thrive (despite over watering and too much buggering about). Within a few days I noticed lots of shoots I was a happy man I can tell you. When it came to potting up time, 2 of the lowriders didn’t grow any more and died, ahh well such is life, also I lost a Maui Waui and 2 Early Girls too at this point. I was feeling good though, as I had loads of little plants growing like the clappers. I think Biobiz All-Mix is the best; the plants seem to LOVE IT!!!

As my greenhouse is lined I started to notice that they plants were stretching like the clappers, so needed a bit of propping up, I got some garden wire and used that for a bit, then managed to find some kebab bbq sticks which seemed fantastic. The plants continued to stretch and stretch, I was getting worried now I can tell you, so I transplanted them out into the garden to calm down a bit. Well as you can imagine noobie mistake number 324, don’t put your ladies directly into the sunlight. They need easing into it, so I scorched them and did some damage to the ladies, (apart from the lowriders for some reason they were fine).

At this point the lowriders were coming on strong, and had started to flower; from what I had left I had 4 males, and 2 females. Well that’s ok, I figured that I would pollinate one of the ladies with the biggest male, and kill the other males. So back into the greenhouse went the lady and fine gentleman to do their thing, well away from my other flowering lady.

The Lowrider x2’s have taken much longer than their projected 9 weeks, (could be me re-potting them a they went into flower, (I know noobie mistake 347)), but they are now on week 10 and starting to bud up nicely, but I think they are still a week away at least, but I'm sure you gurus will let me know about that.

Lowrider x2 Flower - Not Pollinated (Outside from week 4)

Lowrider x2 Buds - Not Pollinated, Very Compact (Outside from week 4)

Lowrider x2 - Pollinated Hopefully (Greenhouse since birth)

Lowrider x2 - Pollinated Hopefully (Greenhouse since birth, notice the stretch compared to other lady)

One of my Early Girls, I took a few group shots but they seem to have disapeared...

Good effort mate, those are some lovely looking plants- i hope my Lowryder 2's turn out like that.

Now you say you think you have a week left to flower- personally i think you have a bit longer than that, our plants seem to be at the same stage of flowering and i have another 4 weeks left...... and i didnt pot up along the way. Mine is a Lowryder cross.

Also, from one of the pics it appears that the pistils are still all white....... id wait for them to finish off properly pal before rolling them up- but thats only my take.

Hope everything goes well for you mate,

the Jester.

Cheers mate for the kind words.

Im not intending to harvest them early, I will wait for 50%-75% brown pistles before the chop. Never having grown any pot before its all new to me, especially the fact that they should have been chopped this week (ie this is week 9, when they are meant to be ready), but I can see that they arnt yet so im in no hurry to smoke them. I want to do it right the first time so I can learn.

Hope yours go well too...

Cheers,

I just thought I would add soem pics of my disasterous 1st grow attempt...

The Lowrider 2's...

I ended up with 2 plants both got mould, and this was what I was able to salvage. I have to say they are a really nice smoke now dried and cured, my Pa even says its almost too much, so hes happy. I would guess I ended up with just over 1/2 oz dry which I was seriously happy with.

Here are some pics of the Maui Waui & Early Girls.

I had to go and hide these ladies after a while, I got half of them eaten by deer and slugs, and then had to move them again due to hearing the army were doing manouvers in the wood that I had them in, so they went to a new location which was great, but unfortunatly now they are in flowering out of all the plants I started with I have ended up with 1 Maui Waui and 1 Early Girl female to smoke through winter.

Here is the Early Girl, as you can see she starting to bud out now, the 2 pics of buds are from about 5 days ago.
