Before I get flamed, I have searched. Anyways, I am an absolute DIYer and am interested in using LEDS for my lighting(due to power savings), I have read countless threads and have done research all over the net about wavelengths. lumens, etc. I want to create an LED array with the most powerful LEDS(for growing) I can find, and I believe I have found some, most everone knows about the Luxeon K2, but has anyone heard about Lamina?! Here is a link to there web site. now they claim over 1000+ lumens on some of the "light Engines" so I was thinking that maybe this is a good starting point?! I was just hoping someone had some knowledge or experience with Lamina, and could give me some pointers. Thanks!

Cant offer any real advice just to say I have been looking at them as well. You can get prices from the farnel website. Atlas range <£10 light, titan £55 and titan turbo not available yet. The data sheet detailed someone should be able to work out if its viable. looking at it the daylight tiatan peaks at 440nm and 570nm. I think this is good for veg.

You'll lose on leccy bills but will more than compensate on yield using proper lights

Led's are at the moment next to useless for growing weed

Its true that currently LED's are not a good option if you look at expense + effort vs yield, I would never recommend it if thats is your goal. However I do this for fun, a few low yielding plants gives me all I can smoke. I get personal satisfaction from experimenting, sharing knowledge and maybe helping develop tomorrows more mainstream techniques.
