Hello All, Just got my new 18 inch extension, (ooooh errr wheres Frankie Howard when ya need him)
Just a quick coupla piccs.
I just gotta line the walls, I do get some high temp probs so I thought white paint instead of diamond may help keep things just a touch cooler?????
Also check out the fan now venting straight outta the roof. So I could also maybe get a smaller CF (as Im venting at roof high) and that may help boost my air exchange?????
Do any of these things sound viable?
Respect. Poopy

Maybe I'll post the piccs too.................... doh.gif

Hello All, Well after 3 months of paranoid squeaky bum time its time I got my loft up and running again. Its taken me a while to start up again so the break has made me keener than ever yahoo.gif
Okay my g-room, main flower room is more or less ready. I have just to decide wether to mylarr the ceiling or not cos Im worried about high temps and Im thinking that leaving the ceiling plain boarded may help keep temps even just a smidge lower

I have a small vegging, cloning, mum room next door to my flower room.
This has only entertained chillies, courgettes , melons and the rest of my veggies for the last 2 months or so, but now, i have a nice little selection of goodies to try stoned.gif

I now have, Thanks to kind friends, A sexy sweet tooth mum (this is the same strain I was growing when I had my scare and had to dump it)

Im gonna give the cheese a week or so and get it on 12/12 asap cos Ive not had much decent gear for a while now, I have had a little but at a price nea.gif
In the meantime Ive got a tasty selection of 5 biddys sister and 3 warlock seeds. Given to me by a friend from 420, (I better check to see if he minds me name checking him???) 7 of these have popped, Im just waiting on 1 more BS for a full house..
Im gonna veg these until the cheese is almost done and go for a nice big yield and try to get a keeper of each.
I cant wait to get going again peeps, Id like to say a big fankx to the 2 fellas who helped out big time by giving me the plants and seeds. Hoooge cheers to ya both you know who you are toot.gif notworthy.gif

Hello BB cheers for looking mate.
Im venting through a vent tile, I have 1 at the front for my intake and then 1 to exhaust outta the back. If its really taters outside I take the intake down and just vent from the loft out.
Cheers again, Poopy

Cheers, Ben.

Hello W, How do I get up there??? a loft ladder is my usual way but on some smokey nights I aint needed one.................just floated on cheese stoned.gif
As for the whiff, I vent through a CF before the roof vent so no tell-tale pongs from my gaff wink.gif
Thanks for looking, Respect. Poopy
prawn
Nice one p.p.s.p.p. guitar.gif
Gotta get me some of them roof tile vent jobs (mine are just pushed up against the soffit boards for now pinch.gif ) how are they for noise? like air rushing through sort of noise?
yinyang.gif
poopypantssuperparaphoenix
Hello Prawn, No problem with any extra noise that Ive noticed. In fact a couple of times, like last night, I had to open the hatch to check the fans hadnt blown or something cos it was so quiet. It made me wonder why sometimes its louder than others.
As it happens Im gonna post a q on it shortly I reckon it must be air pressure???
Cheers. Poopy
poopypantssuperparaphoenix
Just found some great gear for sealing up those awkward bits, I had some tiny light leaks on my door and trieid several draft excluder type things then stumbled on this stuff its in roughly 3ft lengths and they were about 50p, (FFS I only got 'em 2days ago and I cant remember the price stoned.gif )
Anyway I got them from one of those curtain and bedding type wholesalers. They are for making your own curtain tie backs apparently, but stapled to the sides of my door they do the best job yet for me.
I hope its helpful to someonelse.
Cheers all, Poopy wink.gif

friendly electrician
if your inlet & outlet vents are on the same side of the roof the venting should stay pritty continuous. if there not, then they can be under different external pressures to each other, depending on wind direction.

I would imagine your vents are the mushroom like ones, and that thats whats holding your extraction back, not the carbon. The airs rushing down the pipe 8" wide then hitting the underneath of the mushroom like a hammer. The back pressure from this will cancel out much of your fans ability. only once pressureised will some air turn back on its self and escape the mushroom. A major resistance to flow.

listen for your fan slowing down as it bites on the air when you take that pipe off the mushroom vent. then listen to it spin up as it looses its grip when you reconnect the duct. This will prove the vents bad, if indeed it is.

That's looks a flash set up Poopy,

just banged this off at me bruvs but I'll get back now to my gaff and have a proper gander.

Makes my grow look like a set off trainspotting.

Right, fire up the Rocktercopter and tally ho pip pip! jester.gif
