Hi all
I've read a few threads about ducksfoot and it seems an ideal strain for a garden grow.
What I want to know is if anyone has any more information - smoke reports, flowering period etc.
Also, does anyone know where to get some seeds from?
Thanks in advance
Chez

Hi chez
Here is something on it by the breeder
Specifications WallyDuck Updated: 2002-09-16
very easy to grow , quite robust , with almost a hybrid vigour , would be the quickest grower in your patch .. flowering time outside was pretty favourable given most of the ducks were finished before other strains i have .. would say anywhere from 8 - 12 weeks , shouuld be an early flowerer ..
Comments WallyDuck Updated: 18Nov02
These are some of the biggest plants i have seen , in bulk , .. often up to 7-8 ft tall and often as wide too , carrying several pounds of sticky stinky buds ... really tight bud and dence , quite a uinque smell , that almost knocks ya down... ...will grow practically anywhere ..

Allthough it looks good guerilla material in veg,it tends to look more like the traditional cannabis plant when flowering as ive read.
It supposedly was the result of a mutant blueberry. Looks like a good breeding tool to work with a more undercover growing strain.Good work Wallyduck, hats off to ya!
WallyDuck Updated: 19Dec02
NOT Blueberry; maple leaf indica and crossed with a sativa to keep the traits as i only had one female duck initially .. the male i used was a sativa , although it had to have been crossed with a duck at some stage to keep the webbed leaf structure.
WallyDuck Updated: 19Dec02
The ducksfoot show traits of a pure sativa and therefore are not favourable indoor.
Hope this helps

Hello chez,
I've grown it, smoked it- Wallyduck makes no claims that i disagree with, apart from the possible production. It is a rotten indoor plant and I fared no better with it outside;, the smoke tastes like a nice rough Aussie bush sativa with a hint of musky, spiciness, but smoke reports are subjective, are they not. It wasn't bad smoke I just produced so little. I grew the ducks at the same time as an Aussie bush clone via TP, which hails from a similar climate, the Ab is better smoke in a similar time and with three times the yeild. As i was a beta tester I was not told to not grow this plant indoors, DON'T grow this plant indoors, it will cause you pain. And while the leaves in veg may be stealthy, the smell late in flowering is not, at all, not a little bit, not a good plant for an urban guerilla grow.
It most definately would have appeal to those fed up with Dutched up strains and willing to undergo a breeding programme to isolate the interesting outdoor characteristics, webbed leaves, loose flower structures to counter mould etc and also increase the potency and probably, in this climate, decrease the flowering time, you'd better have a polytunnel/greenhouse if they take 12 weeks.
I made some F2's of it as I was told that it bred true, but was so disappointed that i've left them in my 'life's too short' box of seeds.
Hope it helps

Hi Utopiate
Doesn't sound like such a good prospect now

Thanks for the report, I'll have to look to other strains methinks!!

chez you've got an indoor garden on the go yeah?
You got mixed strains too I think......At least make sure you harden off a couple of cuttings properly and plant them out in the garden.......You know they're female, and they might surprise you.......
I tried a bluyeberry last year, amongst others, that reallly performed well.....the weather was almost perfect last summer though, just hoping for more of the same....

Hi Mono.
My indoor garden is about to be cut down and smoked!!! I didn't take any cuttings from this grow, but I do plan to build a separate veg area soon.
I will be starting some General's Daughter from seed within the next couple of weeks, I may try a cutting of this, but I don't know how suited it will be to outdoor growing!
When would be the ideal time to plant a cutting outside?? I assume once the weather picks up a bit??
I hope the weather is like last year, but you never know in this country

this is an outdoor plant ,, i never saw the sence in producing somthing stealthy and then hide it ,, dont make sence really ...
so if u live between 40 degrees north or south , u can grow duckfoot outdoors ...
i kinda feel a bit for folks that dont have a suitable climate to grow in , they will never see plants like ducksfoot in their true glory ,, ...
