I have been looking into the Super Haze strain by DP. I am just learning about this kind of stuff and im wondering why isnt it popular? is impossible to answer? Is there anything wrong with it?

I grew this strain a few years back , I didn't get very good results in terms of potency but the yields were huge the taste was nice and it was dead easy to clone .

I'm thinking that the low potency was more down to my lack of growing skills at the time ( especially with sativas ) the stuff I grew was a nice enough daytime smoke but certainly no knockout and I built up a tolerance fairly quickly.

it has a reasonable flowering period at around 10wks or so - not the fastest but not the slowest either .




would I grow it again ?

probably not as sativa dominant strains aren't really my thing but I do sometimes wonder if I could have done better with this one especially given it's genetic heritage .

Most peeps go for super sliver haze by Mr nice as most super hazes are ripoff from Mr nice .

all hazes are ripped from sam the skunkman, who ripped his off the haze brothers, shanti maybe a good breeder, he got his genetics from sam tho...so....who ripping who off?

flonmofo - Welcome to UK420. picking seeds is the hardest part of growing..there are that many strains/breeders out there it will make u mentally ill. U will go thru an obsesive compulsive disorder with seeds. Your going to spend many a night purusing the net looking for seeds, eventually, u will find your holy grail after spending a small fortune on beans

any haze hybrid isnt a good choice for your first grow u want a fast flowering indica like northern lights that can take a lot of abuse but after 8 weeks u get a nice smoke. Once u have about 15 weeks supply of weed, then grow a haze

Hazes are famous for stretching like a sonofabitch and low yields. And flowering time can be 14 weeks or more. But the smoke is reputedly dynamite, a connoisseur's high.

If it's your first grow, better to pick something more resilient and manageable. Skunk #1 is a good choice, it can even survive me growing it!

Yeah, sativas stretch big time and will probably need support because of weak branching. Agree about comments about Supersilverhaze above.
Try a short stout indica plant, something with afghan genetics. I did mazar for my first (non bagseed) genetics. Wicked smoke. 8 week flowerer.

better than 14 or 16 weeks sat! Where a lot of mistakes can occur with feeding/watering and generally keeping the plant alive and thriving for it to flower off properly.

Would it be a total mistake to have a shot at em? as more seeds would be expensive and i have alot of things to buy atm. +as you guys might remember..the anticipation is killing me and im very impatient. but if its really NOT a good idea...then i might have to wait and fork out some more dosh.

DP's super haze isn't as hard to grow as the majority of hazes - it's a 50/50 cross with Skunk #1 and in terms of growing requirements it's more like a skunk than a haze , you probably won't get the best out of it first time around but you will definately get something for your trouble .

flonmofo once u get your seeds start a grow diary in the grow section and ppl will help you out. u need to fill in your profile to tell us what the tools of your trade are but you need to read read and then read some more and then ask questions

check out the knowledge database read the bit on getting started u need to read up on germinating seeds using the wet paper towel method

You can get very decent seeds in the uk420 store for not much more than a tenner. Check out Mandala for example.

At the urging of a friend, first thing I tried to grow was a Haze. They came over all dead rather rapidly under our noob fumblings. Now I'm growing Skunk #1, cost me about 15 quid and they are monsters!

Second I wouldnt advise doing a haze basied hybrid as a newbie grower! Even some of us exsperienced growers lose patients with some hazes!
The dutch are very good in power selling buy the way of what u see is what you think " they allways give times-thc content"
That time they go buy is the time it took them to have their first readily- harvest of their grow" not everyone's grow will be time to the pack! IE pack says say?
Harvest week 10-14 that meens with what ever light they use per table 2k useually
thc ??% thats a total of all thc content from whole plant not the just strenth of buds, that being about 12%


Even with a grow diary I think you'de do better spending £10 on seedmans sk#1 as I did rather than try a haze first grow!

Here you need to think of hermaphobia with a 10+ week sativa and someone not so knowleged on sats
IE: A sat dom Var in wild in thailand will sprout out the od banana for servival as its nature for it to polenate!
Nuy growing indoors we reduce the flower time but not the fact that she could have a few stealth bananas ,
Where a var like skunk#1 or NL will take alot of stress before she will forse out any bananas, haze will take the least stress what so ever and will give of bananas if stressed to much!

Just a few points to think of tbh I d think real good before you pay that money on soil/elec time care and atention etc!
When if you put them in the fridge or freezer till youve played with some (Nirvana are ok for £15) go back grow out the haze hybrid! Otherwise Id say you would be injustice to yourself and your var when a litle effort on a 6-8 week indica var could help you when you come to grow the haze.
You wont be so inpatient plus you'll have some kinda basic knowledge from mistakes of few grows of indica!

But honest you'll be thanked if you left them till you can do them justice!

Now flonmofo, do yerself a massive massive favour which i've noticed many a forum poster never even mention, pick yerself up a copy of any good grow books and especially books which detail strains ie. the big book of buds, get a copy of Jorge Cervantes, DJ Shorts, grow books and MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND, cos everyones got different taste's, patience levels and growing skills, dont just lap up anything fed to you. And search the net high and low on everything cannabis, from stories to Breeders web pages and so on and so on, but please stick to quality Genetics and don't go for the companies that are notorious for labelling something it ain't, and if you aint got a heap to spend on genetics Mandala's a great one to go but Mr Nice is king for quality, visit www.mrnice.nl and see for yourself
