hi, i have a 1mx1mx2m high drobe with 2, 4" o/d passive intakes & a 4" rvk & c/f xtract, with a 250w hps & 200w enviro.
temps at the mo are 69ish lights out, lights on 83ish.

If i take out both my current lights do you think i could put in a 400hps?

I have a 400w in 1.2m wide .5 m deep and 2 m high drobe with a 125 ruck for extraction passive intakes and an osci fan.
My temps are hitting around 28-30 lights on and 20-22 lights off so i know i'll need an active intake asap.
But you should be able to run that 400 in there, no problem

No sweat - especially if you keep the ballasts outside the 'drobe.

... assuming you ran both lights last summer OK ...

I think that the last day is the best day for the bargains on equipment but i have never been before so i am unsure, just quoting what i read on another thread.
I use a powerplant hobby, it cost £80 with reflector and bulb. its not the best however its silent, has very very little heat coming from the ballast (outside drobe) and with the 4m cable from ballast to reflector its really easy to locate the ballast outside.
it really was as easy as hang the reflector, screw in the bulb and switch it on. and theres been no problems.

only just put in the rvk but it got up to the good side of 100 last year with a bathroom 4" xtractor,
forgot to mention i have a 8" osci aswell & i'm also thinking about 2 4" pc fans for the 4" intake holes,
but i think you've made my mind up for me, i'll get a 400.

obviously the yield will be better, any idea how much percentage wise, roughly?
