Thought I'd post this question here as I know a few organic peeps make it/use it.....

I'm just about to make some using jojoba oil and castile soap, question is, how much garlic? According to the recipe below I should use about a whole bulb, is that right?

Garlic Oil Fungicide Spray: For leaf spot and mildews

To make: Combine 3 ounces of minced garlic cloves with 1 ounce of mineral oil, neem oil, or jojoba oil. Let soak for 24 hours or longer. Strain. Add 1 tablespoon of castille soap to this.
Kept in a sealed glass container this mixture will stay viable for several months.
To use: Mix 2 tablespoons of garlic oil with 1 pint of water and spray.

Nothing you can use when in full flower, IIRC, except maybe for some form of systemic fungicide, but you don't wanna end up smoking any of that stuff, really.

cheers nitramkram, just needed a thumbs-up really, a whole bulb sounded a lot. I've mananged to find some good organic castile soap (dr. bronner's) and will post results in time.

hey battlecat, providing you use the fungicide early enough (ie from clone) and regular enough in veg, there shouldn't be any need for use in flower. Try this garlic mix, it's supposed to be very effective. I've used Citrofresh in the past and not been impressed tbh, but perhaps I didn't apply it early enough, it's a barrier after all not a cure (as is the garlic mix). Also, and more importantly, think about your environment. High temps, poor ventilation and poor hygiene can seriously effect the chances of fungal problems
