Hi all,
I'm in Australia and I just started a White Russian grow with Canna Aqua in a recirculating system.
I got some bad advice from someone down here who said to ignore the bottle and use the Aqua vege at EC 1.6 straight away.
Dumbass that I am; I did and have now got 6 WR's at 3 weeks of age with leaf tip burn.
I have decided to flush with PH balanced water 5.9 and 2mls/10ltrs of H202 for 24hrs until I reintroduce the Aqua at 0.6 EC and gradually rise it to between 1.0 and 1.4. Maybe max it out at 1.6 in flower?
I have soft water with a starting EC of 0.2 and the PH is 7.0 before balanced.
Do any of you agree that is a good plan? Any suggestions?
I run the feeds at 30mins on every 3hrs during lights on and a bit of folier feed at lights out.
Does this sound right?

A bit of background if you are interested...
The plants are from serious seeds, grown in rockwool and are now in expanded clay under a 600W HPS China Hat in a 1x1x2.4m cupboard. Pump is Weipro 2700/hr with feeder rings around the stems. Temps are around 25.5 Humidity is about 30-40% with the fan (250mm centrifugal with a 400/1000 carbon filter) on constantly during lights on - 18/6.

Any help would be appreciated on the Russians or the Aqua.

Here's some pics anyhow,

Thanks,

hiya jimbo, i've just changed over from white widow to white russian. if i run the EC at 1.4 i start to get tip burn and twisted leaves about week 6 so i rinse then and change over to pk 13/14 for a week before rinsing to the finish.
not saying this is correct so im looking for advice too.

Hi

Yeh...EC1.6 is a little too high to start with but they dont look too bad considering, i've seen alot worse.
Seems like you know what to do, flush the medium and start again. Because your using hydro clay pebbles you wont need to flush for 24 hrs...just one or two rinses through should sort it. wink1.gif
Start again with a EC of 0.8 - 1 to start, they are still pretty small so wont need any more.
