Daylight/cool white 6,400k would be best for those in my opinion.

yep, cool white or coolwhite/warm mix is supposed to be the best.

If you can't find any, don't worry. I do all my vegging with the "wrong" lights and they don't appear to mind wink1.gif

The main thing I find is not to understimate the amount of light seedlings will greedily swallow - so get lots of 'em guitar.gif

I really doubt there's much in it.
Go for cheapness and convenience.

You want to get them under the MH as soon as possible. guitar.gif
The savings don't add up to much - and they'll love your MH lamp. smoke.gif

Have tried diff colour temps and combo's of colours and honestly, Cool white works just as well as anything else. I personally don't see the point in spending $20 (warm whites, daylight tubes etc.....)on a tube when I can spend $2 (cool white) and it works just as well

Hope this helps

Cheers
